hurrey, a truly borked routine... what gives, realism tells you this shouldn't happen as it does in the game, no sub skipper in WWII would have run from unescorted freighters all the time! NO SUB SKIPPER WOULD HAVE DONE THIS! Now go figure what is wrong, the sub skippers agressiveness ratings or the routine taking those agg ratings into account... but noone to tell me this would be realistic... and choosing idiot skippers not able to command a sub is just something that makes me

we kept our 40+ Marauders on low nav attack as I wasn't happy about this convoy unloading in the area but today the enemy has ordered Zeroes from Rabaul to LRCAP the ships and the Zeroes achieve quite a result flying LRCAP from no less than 10 hexes and there surely aren't that many there at Rabaul... the Marauders take it on the chin but manage to probably sink one of the xAKL... if just more of the bombers would fly... with only 2 min pre warning time the Zeroes did very well against the fast medium bombers at 1000ft as two B-26 were outright shot down...

another dozen bombers attack in the afternoon, hitting two freighters for unknown damage... bomb damage being halved in this mod I am not sure if a single 500lb bomb is enough to sink a xAKL... we pay with two more B-26 shot down and another one being a write off, making it a total of 5 bombers lost which is a little tragedy as there are no replacements at all yet...

finally, deliberate attack number 8 or 9 finally overruns the brave defenders of Singapore... we were holding out until 9th Feb, historical surrender was 15th Feb so we did quite well here considering how many units bluebook sent here to take this important base... losses for us of course are enormous but we just have to live with those units on Malaya, Java and the Philipines being lost...
we inflicted exceptional losses on the enemy though, counting up combat squads destroyed we are at roughly 620 enemy combat squads destroyed, with many more being disabled (and back in action soon)... haven't counted the support squads and guns, in total the enemy surely had more than 1000 squads destroyed... bluebook's reactions about the fight at Singergrad clearly showed that he wasn't really amused about how this was going, which is quite understandable... [:D] not only the losses within his troops, the delay of his further offensives probably even more so are not according to IJ plans... the weeks of delay at Singapore may be exactly those weeks we need elsewhere to stiffen our defense to a level it gets not as easy for the IJ as it is within the SRA when we fight on lost ground anyway...
