RE: Whiskey in the Jar
Pfffffff. The whole IJN is about to attack Mili Island. Not sure if I can stop them, but I sure can make it cost him...

RE: Whiskey in the Jar
Another vicious naval battle. The US Navy lost an obsolete BB, but also did quite some damage to a couple of Japanese BBs and CAs. Lets wait and see if they return tomorrow...

RE: Whiskey in the Jar
11 1000 kg hits on the Yamato. [:D][:D][:D] She probably won't sink but you never know with the Japanese firefighting skills. But for sure it will be out of action similar to a lot of other BBs that got hit yesterday and the day before. Mili airfield is closed, but so far the outcome of this battle is not too bad. Hopefully we can sink a couple of carriers tomorrow as one of the CV TFs is getting dangerously close to Nauru Island.

RE: Whiskey in the Jar
Any critical hits, like ammo? This looks like a major fire in the animation? [fire in the dark smoke in my experience is the animation for a major fire] If so, she might burn to the waterline as you suggest...[8D] She has a long ways to find a port that can fix her and she should glow in the darkenough for a USN submarine to find her ..[;)]
Great shooting!

Nice one! Even if she lives, she's got to be a lot more difficult to repair than anything else afloat.

RE: Whiskey in the Jar
No critical hits, but it is far to Japan. I don't think we'll see the Yamato again before 1944...

For now the Soviets defend well...

If Taming the Bear [tm.asp?m=2421884&mpage=8&key=] is any indication... things do not end well for the IJ [;)] Although a lack of replacements before 1944 makes this a tough fight ..

RE: Whiskey in the Jar
I saw a bomber that could carry TTs in the Russian arsenal. I also think it had decent range have you thought about useing it around the coast or somewhere else?
RE: Whiskey in the Jar
I'm not worried about the Soviet - Japanese battle. The war is not decided here. And so far the Japanese troops have not greatly impressed me. They will probably push the Russians back some more, but I don't see them wipe out communism. For sure it will be a very interesting battle and I'm curious how things will develop.

The Emperor will not be happy about this! [X(] Nice move!!
Are the Russian Platforms strong enough to attack Manpower and set things on fire?
Are there any homerules against stationing 4E's in Russia?

Stalin does not allow foreign units on his territory. And thus there will be no 4E's in Russia.
The Soviet bombers prooved to be very vulnerable agains enemy fighters. Most bombers were shot down in another strike on Sapporo. There will be no bombing Japan for a while until the squadron is at full strenght again. I'm doubtfull if Soviet bomber strikes on Japan will significantly determine the outcome of the war

Thanks! I'm very happy with my opponent. He attacked everywhere in the pacific with full strenght even when defeated in the previous battle. As the Allied CinC I have been trying to give him a hard time everywhere by fighting back, where I can. Consequently, it has cost me greatly but so far it has been a garantuee for great action. For the excitement of this game it has been very good that the Allies lost (some of) their carriers with KB intact instead of the other way around. That usually is a showkiller and would have made the battle one-sided. Now there is still plenty of action all over the map and many more to come...
In the meantime Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt have met in Teheran and discussed how to deal with Japan.
