hey Devs : screens or AAR

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

any chance of a screens thread or even an AAR. I'll go on the limb and ask for a Video AAR.

I havent been this excited about a title since PCO. what i really like about this game is that its squad based. I just love the graphics. Now its time see what's under the hood.

One AAR is being developed already. I've read the first turn or so, and you'll like what you see. A video AAR is being considered, but will take more time.

So don't worry -- we definitely want to share more images and info, so we're on your side!

Sorry for the delay.

The aar needed a translation from Italian.
Thanks marco and Gil to help my bad English.

The aar is ready and I think to upload it tomorrow in the morning in Italy.

Do you mean, how long in your real life? Or how long is a turn supposed to represent?

in the game, like what is the time frame for each turn. also in the same turn is there return fire from the enemy?

I am trying to compare gameplay to HPS SQB titles. sorry but I havent played the boardgame so that is why i am asking all these questions.

what's the hex scale?

Since the video game uses the same game scale of the boardgame, I can "copy and paste" the boargame's rules of play:
The battle is played on a map consisting of hexes representing 40-50 meters of ground.

Hi

I have a copy of the board game and to answer your question its a platoon scale and hex scale is 200m and 15 min turns..not sure whether they kept that in the PC version

All i can say is im really excited about this both as a gamer and scenario designer...this is one I cant wait for especially for the later versions of the game.

The board game is awesome looking and the game is great

The COH series models platoon sized engagements played on a map where each hex represents 40-50 meters.

Platoon scale with 40\50 metres hexes sounds odd? Thats noramlly squad size hex. Thats a platoon of 30+ men in an area of 50 metres!

I thought the game was squad and single tanks. Is it still single tanks or platoon?

Shame. Not being squad and if it's not single tanks per chit my enthusiasm has waned alittle.

wodin I think is a squad and single tank game, if we have mortar/MG sections cannot be a platoon scale...

I was referring to the boardgame. The maneuver units are squads/tanks and you control a platoon. The largest scenarios contain company(-).

let hope the pc version is squad size with single tanks 40-50 meters. that will be my all time favorite game. also, any change of porting this game to the Ipad? only if you could allow user create scenarios like the battle academy, otherwise there would be no replayablity.

The PC version is squad based with 40-50 meter hexes. The men on each chit represent about 4-8 depending on type. MG and AT-guns would be on the small side while plain old infantry squads are 8, maybe 10 men if Soviet. Same as the board game in every way.
