NICE Don! Thanks to you and Gary for excellent work. Feel like we should place one into a mod just to be COOL!

I was going to add something like that to my mod, but the problem is what planes could use it? F2 biplanes should be able to and perhaps a swordfish but the more modern fighters and atk planes I don't think would work.

Be like a US CS ship.  That would be cool.

Are the US float planes as capable as the Japanese? I don't think so.

The 1930 CF design had a variety of flight-deck lengths proposed, varying between 300 and 400ft, with 350ft seemingly the original concept. The 1940 CF-2 design started with a 420ft flight deck, which dropped to 390ft as the design evolved. The Long Island had a 420ft flight deck and the Avenger class CVEs had a 410ft flight deck, the flightdeck on the Bogue ran 430ft, Casablanca 470ft, Commencement Bay 501ft, Sangamon 502ft. Given the tendency not to use the full length of the flightdeck, with aircraft running up at the stern, that makes the 390ft the CF-2s had well within the range for aircraft regularly operating off CVEs. F6Fs reportedly could only operate off the larger decks of the Commencement Bays and Sangamons, but F4Fs, SBDs and TBFs seem to have been quite happy on the smaller decks.
