Any 'The Walking Dead' fans here?

Post by doomtrader »

I must suspect I do like zombies, and rather not those fighting Plants.

Especially I think that the movies are the best media to tell stories about them. I think I have watched all Romero's zombie movies and I do love Resident Evil, the bonus is that Mila is playing there.

Couple of years ago I have found 'The Walking Dead' comic book, and I think I have read like 50 or 60 issues. Then due to the lack of time I have quit reading it.
In 2010 a film series has been announced and I think it is very, very good. Good story, with interesting characters. Not too gore, so you can get your beer and pretzels when watching.

So lately Telltale games has announced the game 'The Walking Dead'. So it looks like we have all media covered.

How would you act in such apocalypse? Would you rather be as Rick, trying to save everybody even risking life of others or rather as Shane, taking care only himself?

I watched both series and found the first one had a pretty bad script and acting, so I missed the odd episode. Yet I watched all the second series. Writing seemed better but boy it was slow. Loved the second to last episode however the season finale was nothing really to write home about, I think they should have just used the last two episodes as one big finale episode.

I shall watch the next season.

Haven't read the comics and I believe Telltale made a mess of their last game Jurassic park and promised Walking dead would have different mechanics, yet the recent gameplay video I saw was exactly the same mechanics that many didn't like in the JP games.

This show is pretty decent, I like it because I'm somewhat of a survivalist.

Very unrealistic (Really, a show about zombies? Unrealistic?) as far as ammo, supplies, etc.

Apparently the hooded figure is someone who has learned how to survive with the zombies. Talking Dead, the show right after Walking Dead, said it was a character from the comic book we haven't seen yet.
I have a subtle and cunning plan.

I think so. I've never seen the comic.

Show's OK, though.

Nate25,

Must admit I haven't played for awhile. I will definately get back into the series when the East front title comes out. I may at some point get the HTTR pack. I still need to get the CW expansion for Combat mission, then we have Conflict of heroes coming soon, testing Tigers Unleashed (takes a fair amount of time, one as I report every little possible probelm and 2 that means I send poor Scott (developer) 10 or more emails a day) this year seems to have a fair few games I really want and some are mainstream aswell like the turn base XCOM game. So really I can't see myself delving into BFTB for awhile. Not because of any probelms with the game engine more the actual battle in quite a few scenarios isn't fun to play out using this game engine as mentioned on the forum. COTA is so far my favoruite game in the series yet it was the one I was least enthused about pre release. I really wish they would do for the COTA scenarios what they did for HTTR (After owning RDOA and HTTR I really don't fancy playing MG again using the engine).

One day I will fancy reading a book on the Bulge and if it's a really good one I'm sure I will boot BFTB up again. It is a game I haven't uninstalled which says alot for me. I'm always uninstalling a game then installing again a couple of months later as I have an itch to play.

You would have to be a Rick type personality, but with a firmer hand. Rick should have dealt with Shane far earlier, once and for all, if you get my meaning.

I did a quiz on the WD website. Turned out I was Rick, though I wanted to be Dale.

Checked out the comics on Amazon. Hardcover and 300+ pages! 7 volumes! I'm buying!

She is a massive hit with the comic fans. After checking out some things and reading the comic descriptions it seems that over the all many characters get killed off at sometime or other. Though the series isn't following the comic more based on it.

Looks like Ricks missus did prefer Shane after all after her reaction to Ricks confession. I liked Shane, he added alot to the dynamics. However gain in the comics he died well before the time he died in the series.

Watched one of these movies on a streaming site some time ago. No clue if it got showed on German TV.

Was not bad for a low-budget series.
