surface attack on truk

Made a surface attack on truk and sank an apd and a ap but they never showed up on the ships sunk list. Anybody else had this problem?

I once saw an ingame message that CV Yorktown sinks...
later i found out it was not the Yorktown which sank, but the Lexington, and it didn't sink on the day of the report, but several days later.

I've had the combat report say that I captured Lae and it didn't really happen. So FOW really plays a part in all this. The manual says that sometimes ships won't show up on the sunk report for months.

I think base captures should be excluded from FOW, especially if we are talking months. Radio waves travel a bit faster than the Pony Express and I am pretty sure they wouldn't use a pony to tell Pearl (or Truk) that their base was about to be overrun.
