Lightning upgrades.

Post by crsutton »

It is almost the end of June and the P39J was supposed to convert to the L version but has yet to do it. I know there can be a delay but we are working on almost 30 days now. Can the delay be this long?

I brought this up in the patch thread some time ago as I thought there was some kind of unintended effect to factory upgrades at some point in the patching process as for most of my game I had no problems w/ factories upgrading w/in a week or 2 regardless of size but I've noticed now that it takes more than a month for it to happen now. I was told by MichaelM that this was how it always was. I've currently got the 2 PBY factories in SD awaiting upgrade to PBY6A & it's almost been a whole month.

I am not going to touch this one...[:D]

But thanks Jeff for totally diverting this thread........[;)]

Every other upgrade has taken place withing a few days of the due date. I don't mind much as the J model is actually slightly better than the L. I will give it another week or two and then pitch a fit with michael on the tech forum. He has not had enough to do lately anyways.....

Sorry cr,

My appraoch to most of the happenings in the game is that nothing should be perfect, no guarantees that anything works as planned and it happens.

Having an arrival date is an estimate, I play as if that is what the REMF promised whereas reality is they arrive when they arrive. It could be 1 of the 1000's of things in a production line goes wrong.

I'm more annoyed if the opposition, by managing their production, gets aircraft into action 3-4 months early.

Of course, if its a month late this gets annoying and may be a bug rather than a WAD process.

Ok, the Js upgraded to Ls on the 1st day of July, exactly one month after they were supposed to. This is the first that I have seen it happen so late and since others have mentioned this event happening exactly one month after the scheduled date, I suspect we might have a minor bug. Gonna report it to michaelm and see what he says. Anyone else notice this happening exactly one month later than scheduled, now is the time to speak up.

July 1942, DBB cant remember which version

Of the 5 aircraft due, 4 have arrived and the Anson has none but a rep rate of 2.

Is this a P38 only problem, or possible for all types?

I am guessing that it is more of an on-map factory deal rather than specific to the P38. I've been wrong before, though...

You must be playing a different version of DaBigBabes than I if you are upgrading from P38Js to P38Ls in July of 1942!
