RE: Rangoon Seized
All quiet on submarine front. My subs can't find any targets. US subs have a 95% dud rate on their torps. Dutch subs have been quiet lately.
In other news, Rabaul fell and there was some mild ground combat in China. Tarakan was invaded by the 5th Amphibious Corps but not taken on the first turn. It is now January 18th. Bombardment continues at Clark Field, and my troops will be moving into Singapore on the 20th or 21st.

Two Dutch Subs reported sunk
Two Dutch subs were reported sunk today. Both were picked off by ASW forces in shallow water over the last week, although I don't know for certain if these reports are accurate. The combat replays indicated these subs were hit pretty hard, so at worst they have to go back to port for repairs.

RE: Two Dutch Subs reported sunk
There is I beleive a unique sub sinking sound .. it is not the "glug glug" sound but a very eerie sound of a "quiet settling" into the depths ... you have to be careful to hear this during one of the naval movement phases ...or after the comabt if she sinks immediately ...
I am 5 for 5 on hearing this vs. not hearing this and later a message ship not sunk ...
