Glad to see some of our fish hitting, and prossibly bringing down a ship this turn. However, more important ships at Babeldoa (Spelling?) were hit, but the torps failed to detonate...

I was hoping to bring down at least a couple of Betties around Davao, as they went in unescorted last turn.... but I set them 10k feet above the raid....I only had one that could fly anyways.

Glad to see our cruisers still afloat in the Solomons...but they are far from friendly waters... still annoyed the went west and north of Rabaul.. instead of south after the surface engagement....oh well, if everything went as planned, the Royals would still have Jose Bautista.. (yes, they did have him at one point.. goes to show you how well we evaluate talent eh?)

Anxious to get the turn back.... kind of slow at work... grain markets are closed on Good Friday....no one is around.. and April May is a slow time for the grain brokerage business...

Opening day is tomorrow night 9:05 PM for the Roayls.. be there! The Masters, followed by the Royals... hopefully a turn to look at too..

The Japanese are missing a trick not getting an Air Flotilla HQ into Rabaul early on. Those Betty's and Nell's armed with torpedoes would have really hurt the Allies.

But I'm sure they are moving an Air HQ there as we speak[:)]

Chris.. yeah, we are very lucky there isn't one there.. we still have one more CL to run through the Solomons.. a turn away from safety...those ships were suppose to hit the AF at night, but ran into 2 BBs as you're well aware...they could have at least knocked out enough planes for the carriers to come in and shut the AF down, and take some ships with it.. but.. as you can see, that plan has since been abandon..

West Coast - compenents of Americal Division are prepping for Noumea as they haven't made a strong push at all for that area, we will see if we can send in some troops to make a strong forward foothold.

Hawaii - still dealing with some subs.. they haven't attacked, but my ASW TFs wont attack either...

Pacific Islands - Midway..nada. Wake/Xmas/Canton/Johnston/Phenryn/Ocean all have patrols continuing to carefully search the surrounding seas.. some transferring supply to and from..

South Pacifc - Pago Pago is getting more troops and supply daily... going to make a nice anchor in the SoPac for us to base operations out of. Tahiti is slowly getting it's first wave of shipping.. slow unloading as it is a number 1 port... Suva doesn't have much to update other than spotting a few subs I am trying to chase down..

Solomons - moved subs around to hide in and around Shortlands/GCanal islands... 5 or so subs..one sub set to stay at Rabaul.. one to move between Rabaul and Shortlands to keep an eye on the cruisers moving southeast. Last busted up CL (Detroit or Raleigh... don't remember which) will still see an air attack this turn.. keeping our fingers crossed as they're not out of harm's way just yet.

Carriers - Lex sent to Brisbane to upgrade Buffaloes to Wildcats... Enterprise set to link up with Saratoga 6 hexes south of GCanal area..I have a feeling the will continue a push SE out of Rabaul, and I would like to keep my CV fleet there to counter that threat, but keep them 20 hexes or so from Rabaul...even though there isn't a naval HQ in Rabaul yet, so we're just dealing with bombs. A well placed bomb could still ruin our day. They're not dumb and know our carriers are in the area, but they haven't seen them for days... and only spotted them SW of Suva...

Philippines - The assault of Manila/Clark Field has begun.. troops are on the move from three different directions. Haven't seen an air attack in mass for a while.. could be right around the corner. 800 AV at Clark and Manila, plenty of supply, best leaders available, and as ready as possible.. I think...Seven Warhawks will be sent to Manila in three turns from Davao...maybe catch some unescorted Sally's. A sub is back online, and sent to Darwin area...thought about sending to IO.. that is up to Harvey. All subs will be repared and back online in about five days...Manila should hold out long enough to get all ships back online, and sent on the way.. hopefully some make it..

Last turn was rather dull.

The SS Shark sank in route to Manila.. ran into a mine at Cam Rahn Bay...100% error on my part..
Pesacola took a torp while in route to Brisbane
AKL Island Mail ran into a IJN sub NW of Frisco
Small dogfight in northern Mindanao... no Jap losses.. just seaplanes and Warhawks...
USS Plunger fired and hit the Kinugasa at Rabaul.. result was a dud
Had subs east of Lae set to patrol and react.. but failed to.. I wonder if that is more of the Indian and not the arrow in this case..
Singapore was hit by almost 100 bombers... Manila was hit.. but did little damage.. the advance on Manila/Clark is underway as you can see.
Bataan is really low on supplies.... <1500 for some reason.. need to have some drawn back in there, as that is usually the last place to fall after Clark and Manila..
All of our cruisers have made it out of the Solomons intact so far... COULD possibly have one more air attack next turn, but I doubt it. Good deal. I like having as many cruisers as possible around.

I am considering moving the second squadron AVG, as they are getting chewed up by Zeros. Changsha is getting swept every day and the scales are tipping in the Japanese favor, time to move the squadron back to Chunking for rest and replacements.

The expected assault in south China has started and, as expected, the Chinese are getting the worse of it. Not much else I can do there other than fall back to defensible terrain and delay as much as possible.

West Coast logistics is forming up nicely with several TFs leaving with needed units and supplies for SOPAC and ANZAC. Expecting to ship out the fully formed Americal Division withing three weeks. We are saving PPs to buy out the 164th Infantry Regiment once the other two regiments arrive in 15 days. I have assembled the nearly 7000 Troop capacity we will need to ship it out.

Jeff - we should start pre-planning the regiments for their eventual location, it was Noumea, right?

We still have two CD and two AA units to ship out. They are waiting on smaller xAPs that are already delivering units across the SOPAC.
