Updated game?

Hi,
I just purchased the WIT AE game on line in Feb. of this year. How do I tell if it came with all the updates, patches, etc.

No it doesn't, you have to go to this forum. Look at Erik's post about massive update on the landing page of the forum. The link is there for the latest and greatest... all previous upgrades will also be installed at the same time. Hal

That's a technical question so I'm not best to answer but I'm 99% sure that yes you will... Others will indicated if I'm wrong here. Hal

It's my understanding that some of the patches changed elements in the DataBase and that these changes won't be used unless and until you have started your game with the newest patch(es). So Unfortunately, I'm thinking that yes, you do have to restart an ongoing game. D'oh.

Larry, that is correct, only if you want to implement those specific database changes. The vast majority of the fixes and changes are code related and take effect without restarting a game in progress.
