I know Russia is cold but snow in August?

Playing the 1st Panzer Division campaign and my battles are supposed to be taking place in August but the maps are snow covered. I know Russia had severe winters but this would seem to be a bit extreme?

Never mind, I figured out. Was looking at the wrong line for current date.

Thanks for editing, I was just getting ready to start digging into the map selection for that campaign.
