Here come the balsa wood (impregnated with gasoline) Nells. Good escort but there is a serious CAP too. They go after Irrustrious which is supposed to be back in Gibraltar in a spell. Whew! Admiral Lord SPrior would have had some 'splaining to do.

Huh? Darwin? Darwin? Hory Crap! The 8th Marine Def Bn. did not get the memo. They were in a separate TF from Horn Is. Doh! When we find out who is responsible for this there will be a very stern talking-to...I promise.

10cm T14 AA Gun battery firing at xAK Somelsdijk
75mm T90 Field Gun battery firing at xAK Somelsdijk
75mm Infantry Gun battery firing at xAK Somelsdijk

The Imperiar Command will think we did this on purpose.

Serious intel on the LYB forces at Darwin

Ground combat at Darwin (76,124)

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 13294 troops, 116 guns, 52 vehicles, Assault Value = 556

Defending force 104 troops, 0 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 11

The Torres St. Bn Arrives at Bathurst without opposition and promptly falls onto the punji sticks set out by Fr. O'Brien.

They are so shocked by the opposition, they forget to attack. Bathurst remains in the caring hands of the Catholic Church.

So it turns out JJ has more dedicated combat troops at Katherine than they do at Darwin. Seems to me that means the plan worked...so far*.

* Except for the part about the coastal defence guns and AA troops landing a day earlier than the rest of the 85K.

Hi Cap,

There is one thing u and the Birthday child might wana consider. Cuz of the early "scouting" in Darwin and jap gets a chance to attack there next turn. That could have the consequence that if u unload in next turn, but only "partially or what ever u might be exposed to an attack with high disruption cuz of unloading. So if u get a partial unload u might get defeated in detail.

This isnt a certain thing, depending on if he tries to attack, u unload capacity and so on. There could be merit in not unloading in the next turn, but there are dangers in it too so its not a clear cut thing. It could even work too ur advantage if he attacks and u get lots of AV offloaded. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Kind regards,

Rasmus

I have experienced that invasion interruptis attack thingy. In a Marianas Scenario as Japan, the Arries were stumbling ashore chaotically (or at least it seemed that way) and had only a small number of troops ashore. I ordered a shock attack by the entire garrison but by the time of the attack there were thousands of Marines ashore and it was a disaster.

Hmmm...yes. Seems as I recall something like that happening too. [:'(]

The invasion interruptus defense must not be defended in depth to be effective.

The latest offer from the Apaches is a hot dog stand at Tempe stadium and 20 Winchester repeating rifles. Still too low. Looks like Admirar Rord Nerson will be staying with the Apache for a while longer.

I'm thinking the opposite. If enough troops get ashore in good enough condition, plus the Imperials are disrupted by air attacks, then an Imperial attack could be disastrous for the Empire.

I predict he will either pretend he didn't see the question or pretend he didn't know or pehaps use something scripted like, "Her Majesty government declines to disclose that information"

Which question am I supposed to be answering?

If you're refering to the targeting question then I worked on the launch systems, not fire control. However why would you do this if you're target wasn't defended by ABMs when both sides were only allowed one ABM site and the Russian Galosh system was around a place beginning with M?

If you're refering to your question then it's okay because:

a. Nobody likes officers and
b. We came back in 1814 and burned down the Whitehouse:

I always wondered about that "shooting the officers" thing.. So the regular soldier is allowed to be shot on but the officers are not?

Dressing up in those bright red uniforms is ASKING to be shot at...
