Set Changes button is necessary

Post by larryfulkerson »

So um..........hey you guys. I have a ship that has 1% damage to it's systems. I put her on pierside repair and then forget to click on the set changes button before I leave the display. What happens to the ship? I have an anchor at the hex but there's no ships on the list of ships display. And I've gone through about five turns now waiting for the ship to reappear and she's seemingly dissappeared from the game. How can I fix this?

It is in pierside repair. You can not see it in the normal ships list. You would have to look at the "Manage ships under repairs" or "Show ships under repair."
I think that the two obligations you have are to be good at what you do and then to pass on your knowledge to a younger person

Oh. Many thanks...that clears up my conumdrum. Now I have a question about those ships that have the word Pierside in red. Does there exist a color code for these entries? Thanks ahead of time.

Red means will repair system damage but will not complete repair float/fire

And don't presume Fire means actual fire... Fire damage would be melted/warped metal etc..

No, Fires means actually, for realio trulio, on FIRE. Right now, on fire.

Damage from fires would probably be distributed to the other three classes. I have no idea what the formula is, but no doubt randoms are involved. While Fires are burning the ship may not go pierside or into a repair yard. Uncontrolled fires may lead to loss of the ship. But Fires on the report is functionally differnt than the other three categories of damage in that they aren't really damage. They're causing damage and are a present condition. Until they're put out nothing else good is going to happen to the ship.

Keep it readiness state...no need to send it to yard or pierside in this case.

Not only no need, it is prevented from going to either of those states until the fires are out. Code won't allow it.
