Addons working with Matrix-Version?

Achtung Panzer:Operation Star is an Eastern Front wargame with solid graphics and sprawling battlefields that really emphasize the scope of WWII tank combat. The gameplay is a remarkably realistic turn-based and real-time operational/tactical hybrid wargame that continues the series begun by the acclaimed Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.

Addons working with Matrix-Version?

Post by Krupinski »

I just bought the Matrix Version of AP:OS.

Now i'd like to get one of the two addons (from gamersgate). Is it working with the Matrix-version?

I don't know for certain, but I expect them to. I am waiting for Matrix to release them as Erik said that is something that will happen soon. When that soon is I don't know. I'm just not that confident that GG will be around that much longer. It's just a hunch and not based on scientific fact, but I think STEAM is kicking their butt so much that it has to hurt them. I have 5 GG games and they are there to reinstall as long as GG stays open. If they close shop, I will be out of my money it would seem.

At least with Matrix games you get to burn the whole game to a CD and don't have to worry about such things. Than and no DRM scheme unlike STEAM which scans your whole computer and lists all programs you have on it, theirs and everyone elses.

Erik, how soon do you expect the DLC to take before it is released here? APOS is the sleeper game of the year so far.

You are so right there friend. I swear this game deserves way more attention and I have to wonder if there is more in the works? I sure hope so. Multiplayer would be the best addition they could add, but as it is now, with the strategic element and tactical battle across huge battlefields, I am thoroughly impressed. As I've said before, I think this game is heads and shoulder above CM:N which was too cartoony and blocky with very small constricting maps. I usually don't dog other games, and I know CM has a huge following, but IMO if you are a fan of it I HIGHLY suggest giving this a try. You have to give it some time as the controls take a bit to get used to although not any more than a lot of other games.

Hopefully Erik has an answer when the DLC's will be added to their line-up.

Hi guys,

We are looking at weeks rather than months for making the add-ons available.

Hopefully the delay in responding and or making the add-ons available is just due to Matrix waiting for the May patch????

I don't think GG going so bad; if I remember well just last year they open a new office in the States, announcing a good margin, and now they activated the void service in some countries.
Probably it has not the same gains of steam but i think has less expenses in term of services (steam server system must be expensives to maintain).

Many more tactical options and a lot more replay-ability IMO.
