Just realized that I left out one of the big features for the release... ship movement was added to the map:

[...]

Green squares are at-sea locations and green lines are drawn directly to connect them. Blue squares show in port locations.

[EDIT] I know I can do a lot more with it, so suggestions welcome.
He Floyd how do i get this? It looks very good.[X(]

Go to the Map Panel, choose Ship Movement under the Display drop-down, pick a class, pick a ship, let 'er rip.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

I've found that you have to have more than one turn loaded to have alerts show up. I did one load of a turn to create the databases and then a day later I loaded the second turn using the "Load Turn" menu option and finally some alerts showed up. Try it.

Ha! I caught the Wake invasion force and then was circling around waiting for the second wave (which came and I sunk).

As Larry suggested, Alerts are generated by comparing one save with another. If you only have one save, there is nothing to compare it to and thus, no alerts. Once you get rolling, you may complain that there are too many alerts... [;)]

Great job! Now we've got THAT out of the way[:'(] For a 64-bit box w/8gB of r/w mem, what are some good starting points for -Xms and -Xmx? You've told me before, but I just can't find it[:@]

Thanks again.

That tells Java how much to allocate for the callstack and heap space in MB ..

Yeah, Aces. It's that the default allocations fail on my box. As luck would have it, I found an old setup: -Xms512m -Xmx768. You know, while the price of SSD's is still kind of steep, I love using 'em 'cause you can lose stuff 4 to 5 times faster than on HDD's. Worth every penny I tells ya!

Also jre7 kind of sucks...

This is probably the maximum memory settings Tracker will run with too...

Sorry should have posted the settings earlier.

I'm using these with no problems: -Xms384m -Xmx1024m

Because Java is a 32 bit program, I don't think you can more than 1024MB max.

Downloaded Tracker 1.9 and loaded the first resolved turn ( Dec 7 in DaBigBabes A scenario). Everything is fine but all my LCUs (Data Set: LCUs) in Tracker have the assault value of 0. Also Device, Amount and Disrupt columns for a given unit are completely blank - no devices are listed. What gives? Trackers gives me no error messages.

Yeah, Floyd has been alerted to this and I hope that he will post a fix sometime soonish.

Sorry -

Yeah, as soon as I figure out what happened...
[:(]

EDIT: found the problem, but fixing it is a puzzler right now, since I did this to fix a database upgrade issue and didn't realize what I did...

How is it possible, that each time I setup a new installation, it doesn't work? [:(]
I modified WitPTracker to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause

And this is what I get:

It's what's in your witptracker.properties file.
EDIT: start from the one that comes with the program and then modify it to match your set-up; that may be easier than figuring out what's wrong with what's in your current version.

WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.1 Available!

Post by floydg »

Found and fixed two problems, so here is a new release. One bonus new feature, since it was already in my working code...

New Features:
[*]Ship Movement tracker in Map Panel shows the turn number(s) at each point

Bugs Fixed:
[*]Ship Repair panel's Port View properly sorts all columns
[*]LCU objects read in on initialization (and thus, AV properly shown)

Known Issues:
[*]Ship Class Upgrades get confused when there are multiple of the same device in the same place
[*]Ship withdrawal alert may show too often
[*]Purchased LCUs with non-standard TOEs show database errors when they go back into the reinforcement queue (harmless, but annoying)
[*]Scenarios where units have a delay of 9999 are shown, but a filter should be added to hide them

The release is available from the regular place: https://sites.google.com/site/witptracker/releases
