Two questions:
1) How do you turn on combat reports?
2) How do I get to the attack planner screen?

1.) Play - Player Options - Detailed Combat Reports (On or Off)

2.) I don't use it, but it seems to be a choice (Plan an Attack) when you right click on an adjacent unit ?

Or- me out for a while too and playing catch up- as I've just discovered delving (too?) deeply into the Opart 3.ini file, add/change/make these options in it:

combatReporting=Y
doubleclickplanner=Y

If you're not familiar with ini files, I'd definitely avoid and stick with the previous suggestions- though this may be by player since one player may like these while the other doesn't. Even if you are familiar with ini files, I'd back up your existing file before making changes. The Attack Planning Dialog should now pop up if you double click on an enemy unit or stack.

If you ARE both players (2-player Hotseat mode) you can change for both players (i.e. at game level) with Set Game Options (initial menu before any scenario selected)->Set Advanced Game Options->(click check mark to get to 2nd Page)->Detailed Combat Reports ON & Double click opens planner ON.

Hope this helps.

I've just finished sorting through 'Opart 3 Fonts.ini' (Windows Fonts w/o Cropping) & 'Opart 3.ini' for something I think works for me, both with as many remarks as I see necessary/could find in documentation/posts/testing. To use, cut and paste into a file and save to TOAWIII directory as respective filename, after backing up (or copying and renaming) original. The fonts may be a little small for some, but it eliminates the cropping problem using Windows Fonts (I think). All at your own risk as a disclaimer of course.

Notes:

1) If you don't want to see or have anything to do with AI PO Options, set showPOOptions=N.
2) ChangeScreenResolution, Screen and MaxScreen values dependent on your monitor/preferences.
3) Items prefaced with ';' are remarks, and not processed- this means some colours in Opart 3 Fonts.ini use (what I think are) default colours.

All something of a 'work in progress', so if anyone can help with improving remarks or answering the ? notes within the remarks (;) (or any other comments/suggestions), appreciated.
Tactics are based on Weapons... Strategy on Movement... and Movement on Supply. (J. F. C. Fuller 1878-1966)
