Axis, go for Chelyabinsk :D!

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

hah, i've thought about that. Baku gives a similar effect down south if you get it.  Any 1/2 decent sov player though........am guessing you are playing the AI?

Wow! What is the date? Am just about finishing my first AI game as the axis and thought I'd done pretty well getting to the line of Rybinsk-Ryazan-Voronez-Voroshilovgrad-Rostov. Perhaps I wasnt ruthless enough with my units (currently around 92% strength on average). Dam soviet units seem to keep popping back up. How many casualties have you inflicted?

Picture is from August 43. Originally it was a GC (against the the AI) that ended in t66, but was restarted in t60 whithout going beyond the 290 VP limit- because then the game would have ended automatically - until Chelyabinsk was in sight.
So one shouldn't take the picture too seriously.
