Storm of Steel (Kursk)

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

Yea, I can't wait to see how this game develops with all the expansions!

Sadly, I doubt my favorite theatre will make it to this series. I really enjoy the North Africa campaign but I don't know of any expansions in the works for this era. Some great firefights and scenarios could be made involving all types of early to mid tank units from Italy, Germany and Great Britain

Wasn't there also an expansion to this game in Poland 39? I never played it, but I read about it... wouldn't this be perfect to expand this PC game too first of all?

the polish game is great-you get to face off with poles armed with bars and browning mgs and tankettes can hold their own against the pziis-also the poles have better stuff that the russians. The scenarios are a lot of fun

It should follow the order of the board games releases at least up till the Poland expansion. Next will be SoS then Poland. SoS was a complete game and Poland was made as an expansion to compliment both AtB and SoS. Poland uses map boards from SoS and AtB to run the scenarios.

After that Guadalcanal may be next in line. There is talk of a North African box set but I think that is a few years off because there are 2 or 3 more COH games in the pipeline already. First Men In covers the battle for Crete. Once that hits maybe more will come that cover the Med theater will follow. I would sure hope so. Desert mapboards look very cool to me.
