Modding Costs and Values

Post by MartialDoctor »

Hey all,

I wanted to get into modding DW a bit but it doesn't seem as if there is any way to mod anything in the game mechanics at all.

Basically, I want to make refined products more expensive (e.g. making ships and stations more expensive), increasing maintenance costs for research labs and manufacturing plants, and decreasing the value of diplomatic trading of technologies, disputed stations, and wars.

Are these things possible? I didn't see anything like that listed in the mod guide.

Thanks.

Your observations are correct. Allot of things are hard-coded and out of reach for modders.

Though much of what you described has been discussed allot lately, so don't be to surprised if (some of) those things are adjusted in an upcoming patch...

Hello MartialDoctor. Put your specific ideas in a post in the Modders Wishlist thread.
Elliot has taken many ideas over the past year and implemented them in the game. [:)]
Shields are useless in "The Briar Patch"...
