Air Corp?

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Air Corp?

Has there been any thought of making an Air Warfare Campaign? Think that would be a neat concept/idea. Battle of Britain, Bomber Campaign against the Reich Ala Avalon Hill game "Luftwaffe"... Anyone????

Like BoB/BftR you mean? It is available here on the matrixgames site. Remake of the old Gary Grigsby games.

Not sure what the objective would be. If you cannot occupy cities / objectives (no land units) how would you measure success?
No problem Chief!

IIRC strategic bombing can change city to be unoccupied.
So whoever is losing X number of cities lost the game

Something like that. Anyone familiar with the old Avalon Hill Game "Luftwaffe"...., they could make it very similar to how that game was played! As. Had a lot of fun playing that when I was a kid with my Brother.

Maybe I'm a bit late to this party, but people who are interested to mod something like this can define other victory conditions than just cities - for example that you have to destroy a number of specific units.

These conditions can be refined further, like that those units belong to a certain branch (air, land sea) or unit type of a certain side etc.

So from that point a BoB scenario seems possible - the only question is whether in single-player the AI can deal with this. Otoh there are AI improvements announced for AK...

Probably the best example for Victory Conditions would be the old SSG "Europe Ablaze" (if you still have an Apple ][ or C64 to run it on!)
For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction
