A definition as good as any:

The definition derives from old England where convicts used to tie bits of shirt around their toes and feet as a make shift sock, hence "toe rag" means scoundrel, criminal, thief, indencent/unlawful person etc.

I think it may be the Hiawatha Campground off old 66 near Joplin, MO. Hiawatha is on top of the coffee shop and rental office out front. I am pretty sure the boots on the soldiers are not regulation either.

Darwin/Bathurst: The great bulk of the unloading is done at both locations. Tranpsorts left Darwin today. A few are left at Bathurst. Bathurst airfield is not quite ready so LRCAP is still flying from Gove. Again no air raids over Darwin (3rd day). Colorado and Maryland will bombard tonight. JJ tried an arty bombardment at Darwin but the counterbattery fire was brutal, much more than we could have achieved with our attack.
PT tenders arriving Bathurst today. Seaplanes in operation at Bathurst have pushed back the search area to well past Kopeang.

Saumlaki: Irrustrious started back to Sydney and then on to Gibraltar. The US CV/CVE's moved North to cover the main landing at Saumlaki. This will consist of a Marine Def Bn, and engineers to build up the airfield. Some Bettys went after the carriers.

Hummmmm, the uniform talking looks just like Popeye's nemesis, Bluto. The entourage looks like a bunch of DC bureaucrats (Bureau of the Navy, Torpedo Ordinance Div).
One can never have too much "company of women", but some damn computer wargame published in England seems to occupy much of my time these days ... and nights too - at my age sleeping eight hours at a stretch is rare so I pester the working class online as a break from playing the game.

Jan 3...landing the delayed follow-on troops for Saumlaki. Lautem apparetnly has no garrison...hmmm. There is a full USMC regiment 100 prepped for Lautem......but they are still in Suva.
