ARTILLERY TUTORIAL

Achtung Panzer:Operation Star is an Eastern Front wargame with solid graphics and sprawling battlefields that really emphasize the scope of WWII tank combat. The gameplay is a remarkably realistic turn-based and real-time operational/tactical hybrid wargame that continues the series begun by the acclaimed Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.

Thx alot. Very helpfull. How do you know that your mortars are in command range?

Hmmm... I was about to say, 'That's easy', but when I went to the game screen to capture a screenie I spotted a problem.

Now, command ranges are part of the Tactical Display options which can be toggled on and off using the button below...

When you have that set to on, what you see on the map is a green circle around every HQ indicating its command range... except for the Mortar Platoon HQ, for some strange reason!

As I usually leave this toggled off and just place the HQ close to the mortars themselves, the system has always worked for me. I would guess that either this HQ is deemed to be using radio and therefore has a huge command range, or there's a bug with the range circle for that HQ unit.
