Men of War and both of the recent King's Bounty games were quite good as well.

I am sick of those types of games....I voted with my time and money....I don't buy them anymore at all.  I only buy the Matrix type games(most historical) or board wargames.  I am tired of the arcade type games....now the price goes up and they demand a internet connection.  Their junk!

Yeah that's the best feature, the ability to walk around the forums and drive ice picks into your head. So that's better!

DRM=Dirty Rotten Menace or Don't Retail Merchandise or last but not least, Don't Render Money for this product.

I for one am sick and tired of being called a thief, and that is what the manufactuer is calling me (us) by using a DRM and making it worse it's an ON LINE SHAME. confusion says......

I hit the brakes hard with SH5. The DRM is bad enough, but the game play was significantly dumbed down, and the "walking through the sub" mechanic doesn't even work well. The manual was a cynical joke. Huge step backwards in the series.

As far as I'm concerned, my installment of SH4 with the Real Fleet Boat and Run Silent, Run Deep mods are all I ever need in a WWII sub sim. With the way things have been going with PC game development of late, it may be that it'll be the last game of that type I'll ever buy.

They mitigated the DRM somewhat in that you can play offline.

And with a bunch of mods from SubSim I must say is pretty good now.

Cheap as well.

Well I made a stand I will stick by it,I will buy no game ever that has any DRM,when I buy a game I want it to be mine and not some kind of lend lease,I will not be treated like a criminal by any company that puts all there customers in the same pigeon hole ie not to be trusted not to copy the game and share it,they are all just a bunch off ******* arse holes!
Make it so!

Intrusive DRMs will kill the games industry.

I spent £17 at GoG last week for the Wing Commander and Ultima series of games.. I point blank refuse to buy any games with limited installs, online all the time to play single player or jump through the hoops DRM.

I have SH 1,2,3,4 but refused to buy the half game that is SH5 due to the DRM and it finishing in 1943 just when things got challenging.

Oh well, back to Sh3 and GWX [8D]

Cheers

You could of course mod it to run through 1945.
