For comparison heres a game i am playing against another noob ( slitherine ) i was able to contact him thru the slitherine forums and he isnt ready to give up just yet but a restart is inivetable.
This game is what inspired me to take a new approach to noobs.

he seems to have abandoned the attack on agn and sent his tanks into the swamp in ags. pretty much stopped cold and in a hopeless position. not a good way to introduce new players to the game. i feel pretty bad for the guy but i wont quit on him till he is ready to restart. hopefully he'll agree to a side switch and some pointers.

It's good of you to show people the ropes, but I'd say it was a waste of time to play a campaign game against a beginner.Much better to play Road to Leningrad a few times until they've got the hang of the game.It only takes a few minutes to make your moves and they'll learn just as fast.

Thats the problem been messaging vets here at matrix for a month with no luck. lotta nice pms but no game. Going onto the online server and [posting an open challenge is the best way to fish for new players with empty dancecards. had a fgew i met that way that smashed me senseless but the majority are noobs. i try to contact em via slitherine forums before i tart the game to touch base.. but thats 50/50 so i get stuck with a lot of new players. if you can pull em up to winter and let em get a feel for they can be pretty good. the one im posting i havent been able to get a hold of on the forums but deleting the game would be pretty weak - these guys paid a lot for the game and deserve a break. i dont think its right to rack up a score by slaughtering them... that happened to me my first time out and i stopped playing for 6 months

Yeah, the difficulty of communicating on the server is a problem that needs fixing.

Turn 6 has arrived and my opponent is becoming very adept in the use of armor. On the Finn front I transported a Division to Hango and removed the Brigade to give him a little wake up call. I've set up defenses in the North to Try to hold him north of Lake Ladoga. The front in the Baltics is being aggressively thrown back by strong infantry forces. Heres where my noOb messed up pretty bad - lotta new guys mistakeweak defenses north of the landbridge for a hole. he put pzgrp 3 and 4 together to breathrough to velikye luki - pocketing a dozen divisions. hit a pz div and broke the pocket but my guys are doomed. He has no armor along the entire western front cept pzgr 2 sneaking up on gomel. those defenders will be much more effective in the velikye region. In the south he has done very well keeping the front moving east though.
