Hi all,
ORIGINAL: USS America

I think it's my favorite WWII plane to look at. [8D]

My father also thought that Spitfire is the best looking WWII aircraft!

He saw them flying during the WWII in person and said that the pure elegance of their lines and the sheer beauty of the wings was something to admire...

Leo "Apollo11"

It is the silhouette of the wings from above or below that does it for me as well. [8D]

We have red tail hawks that live right behind our house. When I see them fly they always remind me of the Spit with their broad, rounded end wings. [:)]

t "Ah, I am Bobbie and I am calling for ..."
u "Just a minute ... here he is.." garble fumble scratch .. "Hey Bobby, 'sup bro?"
t "Is this John?, who is the homeowner?"
u "Hey who ya think MomBoy. Hey listen, it wasn't me that capped the bitch. I mean I was doin her like everybody else, why should I cap her?. It was her ex, just ask anybody. I mean God makes big ones and God makes little ones and if you got a little one then you creep in allys and don't get much."
t "But I must ask you if you want this free cruise?"
u "Cruise? To where? Do I get to get outa this $hit? Oh, no ... you're not Bobbie, this is a trick ! I know this 'cause I saw that Eddie Murphy movie and I know this is doo-doo".

Actually happened, and the FBI did stop by to say hello. Have never received an auto-call on my home or cell phone since.

Be free. Be righteous. Ciao.

Your father had a fine eye for beauty. I was getting ready to post my own appreciation of the Spitfire in nearly the same words.
