What happens on 1-1? Goal Diff?
Tie breaking priority according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012.

1.Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question;
2.Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);
3.Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);
4.If, after having applied criteria 1 to 3 to more than two teams, two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 3 are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the two teams in question to determine the final rankings of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 5 to 10 apply in the order given;
5.Superior goal difference in all group matches;
6.Higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
7.If two teams which are tied in all criteria 1 to 6 play their last group match against each other (i.e., the result is a draw and the two teams have the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored), and provided no other teams within the group have the same number of points, the ranking of the two teams in question is determined by penalty shoot-out. Otherwise, criteria 8 to 10 apply in the order given;
8.Position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system;
9.Fair play conduct of the teams (final tournament);
10.Drawing of lots.

This assumes Croatia can live with Spain of course. Italy might not have it easy. The Irish have nothing to lose.

Defeating Croatia is not going to be an easy walk [8D] The Croatians are (along the Spaniards) the most technical players in Europe. They always liked technique. And it's a small nation, they deserve a lot of credit: Suker, Boban, Prosinecki... they have always produced excellent players.

What I said, it is NOT easy [;)]

As regards Italy, as always, Italians's worst enemy is... er... Italy! [:D] This catenaccio thing is on their football genes. They have a lot of quality and could easily defeat any standard team... But... they score one goal... then they park the bus... the other team has the ball, they manage to score... they draw... [:D]

I am afraid not. I wish I made it up since it would be a great joke. But, alas, as far as I know that is the sad truth.

Edit: The above is similar in what I previously read in Swedish newspapers. Italians are unfortunately no strangers to this. They were eliminated a few years ago when Denmark and Sweden played a 2-2 tie in a equal situation.

Well after the last couple of games I think the scores on the doors are as follows:

Redcoat..... 12
Dixie...........10
Orm..............9
rogo727.......8
british exil....7
Zeta 16........7
warspite1.....5

Dixie and Zeta 16 got full marks for predicting the score of the Spain-Eire game.
Warspite1 got two correct predictions in the same day! Unlike the rest of us.

It's Martinez the Wigan boss or Moyes that Levy is looking at. Levy hasn't a clue. He never got on with Redkbnapp and was looking to get rid but couldn't as we were doing well, as soon as the form dips and Rednapp wants four years on a contract he knew he had him.

Watch the exodus of players, Modric,Bale and Van der vart for starters. Levy wants Moyes as he thinks he wont have to spend as much on players as Moyes can do well on near enough no money with abit of money Levy thinks he will be able to do what other managers do with loads. Watch Moyes come to us and Rednapp goto to Everton, then watch Everton rise up and Spurs go back to mid table obscurity.

Has to me the most bizarre and plain stupid Manager sackings\walkouts that I can remember. Thats Spurs next season out the game and could well be out the game full stop. Liverpool and the likes will be made up, I know their fans are as I live here. It's less competition for the fourth place.

Today is the day I realise that Spurs will never hit the big time and fight for the upper echelons again as they just love to mess it up. The last decent manager we had before Rednapp was Venables and Sugar got rid of him because he didn't like his outside business practices.

Anyway this is off topic really. Just needed to rant.

RANT TIME [:@]

Why are the French wearing all blue? Where's the white shorts and red sock malarchy? Why are England wearing all white with red, yes red trim? And what is that hideous blue excuse for an away kit? A few years ago the Italians mucked around with their shade of blue [&:]

I hate it when people change things like this. The Germans have more class - white shirts, black shorts and White socks no messing - it's tradition.

Right, open post to the FA and the French equivalent - show some respect for tradition, have some class and wear your proper kit or I'm going to get soojan to start hitting people....okay?

Wait to you see the Swedish kit. Then you can really rant about lack of respect.
