Stalker Girl and Stalker Girl Jr were at each other's throats because the dryer was "running slow" (6+ hrs) to dry towels.[8|] Naturally there was a backlog so SG Jr. would take a wet load out of the dryer to put her stuff in ahead. [:D]

I told them to check the exhaust hose/vent. They don't, they keep doing the exact same thing expecting a different outcome. SG threatens to hire the chimney sweep, the skinny guy with a beard and a stupid chminey sweep hat that charges $200 to clean the vent. I veto because that is a total bull **** fee. In the meantime, the connector exhaust hose falls off and SG Jr. duct tapes it back on but the word comes up the chain of command that it is "clogged".

Now, to her credit, I applaud the use of duct tape and initiative, but how about cleaning the ******* hose first!

So I send the Admiral down there (me), pull off the hose. It has about 4 lbs of saturated lint in the hose and elbow of the vent, et voila, new dryer.

So I am out 20 minutes of my life I will never get back, the skinny guy with the beard is out $200 and harmony is restored...plus I have clean udnerwear.

We usually say "fee" or "license". It sounds better.[:)]

Pranning (no smart ass comments either):[:)]

1) The APA convertible AP's need to go back to Sydney. I think they are convertible now but I don't know what the 3-43 uprade is (probably more AA?). Ditto the AKA convertible AK's. I believe they are also convertible now but also have a 6-43 AA upgrade. Does anyone know?

2) Wasp and Yorktown both have 21 day AA upgrades and Wasp needs some engine repair so they will both have to be back at Sydney about 24 days before Admiral Lord SPrior pushes off. That would be no sooner than 45 days, so they have a 21 day window to conduct operations and get back to Sydney.

3) Aus I Corps needs to be ferried to Perth. Some AP's are moving from Horn and there will be others after the Saumlaki, Kai-elanden landings.

4) More fuel needed Northern Oz.

5) With capture of Darwin, Kopeang and Ambon are within range of B-17F, Sorong within range of B17E/F and Kendari within range of B-24's. Sorong and Ambon need to be attritted to permit a landing on Boela. Kopeang needs to be spanked a bit to make a landing safer at Lautem.

6) 3 units are spotted at Sorong. As far as we know, nothing at Boela (Ceram) or Namlea (West of Ambon). This is the planned axis of Advance.

The 3/43 upgrade should be the actual AP -> APA conversion. Mucho bene!

Pinhead should be able to clean out the dryer vent...

Just looked at the AP list on the ship listing screen. Not all the APs upgrade/convert in March, some are done in June and one (Wm. Ward Burrows) gets an AA upgrade but does not convert to APA at all - too slow at 12 kts. The AKs upgrade/convert in June.

About repairs to existing damage, I believe that takes additional time on top of the conversions i.e. no concurrent repair and conversion.

Take Boela on your next advance - it has a small oil output and Oz needs all it can get!

And you probably saved your house from going up in a big lint ball inferno .. The HOA and Frau Bruan would have freaked looking at a burnt out shell of charcoal 2x6's and foundation ...[;)] Needless to say SGI & SGII would have been most upset at the state of affairs ... Yes you saved yourself a lot of grief ...[8D]

And no doubt a lint ball fire would probably do away with the clean underwear too (not just the stuff in the laundry, if you get my drift). [:'(]

Very nice, but where are the scantily clad sunbathers (especially those of the female persuasion*)?

Saumlaki/ Kai-elanden: The Marine Raider Bn is ashore at Kai but does not attack because it is not an atoll. they will attack today. The Marine Regt and 2 SeaBee Bn's off shore will have to wait a turn so they dont suffer disablement penalty.

The off-loading at Saumlaki went well. The airfield there is about 1.7. It already has an air HQ and torps. Maybe TBF's can move in tormorrow. No JJ surface threat in sight.

I-33 fires 6 torps at Yorktown. [X(]

SS I-33 launches 6 torpedoes at CV Yorktown

but misses [:)]

No JJ air attacks at either island today. I think Rord Admirar Fabertong turned off the naval attacks with the Helens and Anns.

Darwin/Katherine: I think Br 18th Div and friends will be crossing the river North of Katherine tomorrow. The troops South of Darwin will probably have to wait another day before attackign again after the last repulse at 1:4. Darwin airfield repairing nicley.

Port Hedrand: This just in! Air raid PH! This is not a drill. Oh, wait, this is from a week ago..no it is 4 days ago...now..wait...it IS today..no wait....
