Evening tithe... good night in the Pacific last turn, in my Pbem against Q-Ball;

When I-1 put two torpedoes into AO Neosho coming north from Pearl harbor, and put her under, evading the escort.

Image

I have never, ever, seen a loaded TK or AO survive even one torp hit. Ever. I suppose if it's 1 hex outside Tokyo, maybe it survives.....

I will confirm Neosho sank like a stone...on fire.

Very glad to hear you're getting better, Des. [&o]

Your picture does look like you've lost some weight (recalling other self-images you've posted in the past), but I'll bet your wife can put some meat back on yer bones with some of her pastry specialties before you know it.

Hi all,

Went to the movies with my wife last night... we watched "Prometheus" in IMAX 3D (we only watched "Avatar" in 3D few years back but that was regular Dolby 3D - this was our first IMAX 3D visit)...

The movie was quite good - not excellent like original "Alien" was (few plot holes that could have been easily fixed - perhaps in Director's cut) but very good nonetheless!

The 3D effects were not over the board *or cartoon-like) and were not intrusive at all!

All in all very enjoyable movie!

Blast! Where is my Prussian enlsited mans field cap. Mail just arrived and nothing.[:(] I might just have to mosey on over to the marshal's office and see what time the next stage is due in town. They may have been held-up down by Hillsboro and taken the strong box. Damn you Welles Fargo.[:D]

Hey, Des !! Good to see ya up and around. Ya know, you do kinda look like your avatar. Hey ... where can I get one of those caps with the Anteater on it [8D]? All of my old caps are getting pretty beat up and I lost another one this morning. It's blowing 18 steady, gusting 26, on Mobile Bay, so what the heck, pop the kite on a Flying Scot and see if we can make that wallowing manatee get up on a plane.

Was a ball; but we couldn't quite; I lost my cap; and then we had to beat back home in wicked chop. The price we pay for thrills !!
