Took me about 8 attempts to get the code right, then found out I entered my password incorrectly [:@]

I don't get on much but I will say it did test my deciphering skills.

Wow. I was hoping it was just me...

Me too ... I got lucky on the third attempt ... I use several different computers from several different networks ... so using cookies doesn't help in my case. I will make sure the powers that be are aware ...

I thought John was exaggerating unitl I tried to log on at home.  Wow!  That stuff was impossible to figure out!  I think Matrix has reverted to the "old way," thank goodness.  But even that I messed up on my first attempt to log in.  [:)]

Same reason here, also I generally clean cookies after terminating a browser session. Keeps the disc clean and prevents data fraud.

Thanks for your effort! Looks so much better again.

It's an ugly problem and you have to try, and they call it "try" 'cause things don't always work! I'm just glad I had cookies logging me in or I might have failed that Turing Test. [:D]

A funny thing about that. I've always found my customer will tolerate almost anything with good cheer, when they are kept in the loop. Thanks again, we DO appreciate it. [&o]

Thanks for the quick resolution Erik! My headache is almost gone, and I cannot claim I have it because of the Security Image anyways. [:D]

Thanks for the updates, as a web developer I appreciate the fine, and often disrupted, balance between security and accessibility.

Guess I missed the original problem, but now that numerals have been introduced it's going to be a pain to tell the difference between O and 0.

Going through this thread, I have to admit that I spent more time checking out everyone's avatars instead of reading. Some of you guy 's avatars are really awesome. I love seeing Bert in a mugshot. ROFL! [:D]

Spam has gotten out of hand in the General Forum so thanks for the effort. I'm sure something will be thought of. I think someone suggested having a moderator review all first timer posts before allowing them to proceed to the forum. Not sure if that is practical or not but it might be a solution. Plus I'm currently looking for employment! [:D]

Many forums have a human gate keeper - but Matrix is TRYING to encourage everyone to "come see the people play the games". This is not a "history" forum for example. So, the human gate keeper idea is not aligned with the purpose of the forum. But if things get bad enough - they might take you up on your offer - especially if you will work for food!
