Date the in-game dates..........rrroger that. It's now showing 02Jan42 on the game.ORIGINAL: n01487477
Just one thing Larry ... can you start to date the in-game dates. Enjoying the AAR and your comment. Keep up the good work - bit slow on Singers though ...
Yeah, um.....I'm thinking some more major-ish invasions might be necessary, both to gain some port/airfields and to inject some more troops onto the Singer suburbs. I need more troops there to hold the line and push back and do some siege stuff. I don't suppose it might be possible to use ENG troops to hold part of the line in places so I'm gonna ship some more INF guys in there. Here's a picture of the possible invasion spots. Singer itself probably still has a rumentary minefield in it's hex or I would invade there too.ORIGINAL: n01487477

Johore Bahru is not a good place to land as you must pass through the Singapore hex iirc. Never land directly at Singapore (or you'll be sorry...)ORIGINAL: larryfulkerson

You HAVE to pass through the Singers hex to get there? This one is out.ORIGINAL: n01487477

Because of the terrain advantage that the Allies have there? Thanks for the heads up.ORIGINAL: n01487477

oooooo......good idea. I'll use some of my CVE's, CVL's and maybe a CV thrown in there for good meassure.ORIGINAL: n01487477
Looking at it you need to leap frog to Kuantan and then to Mersing under cap umbrella.
D'oh. Oh well.ORIGINAL: n01487477
Too late for a Mersing gambit,
Yeah, I gamed it out in a different game and it cost several ships and major damage to several others. Definately wouldn't want to tryORIGINAL: n01487477
...and without Singkawang - no aerial protection might be costly even against the Allied bi-planes / surface forces

One of the ground units assigned to the SouthEast Area Fleet is this CD unit in the home islands that I guess, can't be moved. But it's like 400+ PP's to change it's HQ unit ( to General Defense or something ).
EDIT: On the other hand there's not the word "static" anywhere on it and the "move" button isn't greyed out so maybe I CAN move it.
Cool. I'll move it to Wake or somewhere appropriate. Thanks.ORIGINAL: KitakamiYes, it is moveable. It is a very good unit to defend an island or atoll with. 36 8cm+ guns that can fire at transport ships... that is not to be underestimated at the right spot and the right time...ORIGINAL: larryfulkerson
