Today is a sad day for all music friends. Jon Lord died from cancer at the age of 71. For me he was one of the greatest musicians ever.

You will be missed.

I only got into Jon Lord when he wrote his Durham Concerto and have since enjoyed his many forays into Classical music. It is regrettable that he will not be around to compose more. R.I.P.

Funny you should mention highway star. When my son was in high school he came home drunk one night so the next morning when I knew he was hungover and feeling like sh!t I cranked up highway star on the stereo full volume as punishment. [:D] aah, those were the days!
