Windows NT assistance?

Good day all.

i have been playing ToS for some time. i have v1.2 at home running fine on windows 98.

however, i wanted to play the game at lunch here at work. i downloaded the next version, v1.4. the problem is that it will not work. the HQ and the FactoryW seems to work fine. however, when running 'battleW' or 'battleX' and choose either 'Hotseat' or attempt to start a LAN game, the program shuts down.

i have a Dell workstation running Pentium 4. more than enough memory. also running Windows NT 4.0.

any help would be appreciated.

BTW, v1.2 runs fine as far as i can tell on NT. tried it this morning.

I remember that there was a network problem with 1.4 and NT. I also remeber there is no solution. Sorrry. TOS WS will officially support Win95/98/ME and XP, not NT/2000.

I can actually do some testing on Win 2000, if you'd like, Larkin. That's what we use here at work. (Assuming you haven't already done so and found it unworkable.)
