Jeff, in light of what we thing the KB is going to do, and until we know otherwise, moving the ships south of Milne Bay is prudent, just remember to stay out of search range for Bettys (21 hexes, if possible) to stay fully hidden.

What percent is your CAP over the CV's and Port Moresby? Are your bulking up the LCU strength at Port Moresby?

Has been at 30% on the CVs with all three groups running together.. anywhere from 13k-15k altitude. Port Moresby- I can't recall off of the top of my head as that is Harvey's area. I will post a screenshot tonight and he has been sending men and material to PM from day one. A USAAF BF is in route from Pago Pago as we speak. Mike loaded up a CD unit and BF, and possibly something else from the West Coast...so..what is that 20-30 days out?

I need to email you my Guadalcanal results from the other night. Took on KB with three USN CVs just south east of Tulagi at 5 hexes.. for SOME reason, Enterprise moved forward once hex (aggression?) and got BLASTED.. was one hex out of port, sank. However, two jap carriers are now below the waves for one of mine. I think that is a good trade off. Out of dive bombers and torp planes though... set my fighters escort at one hex short of the Dauntless and Avengers...ugly.

Three turns earlier, I was screening my landings with a good sized carrier force, and sort of looking for a fight. Got it, and wished I wouldn't have...Jap CAs and a few BBs streamed just on the west side of Guadal and tried to come up from the south. Had my CAs between my invasion forces and carriers, met them head on one hex SW of Guadal in a night battle. BLOODY. Lost 4-5 DDs, 3-4 Crusiers...Japan lost a CA I think and some DDs. However, shot to pieces.

So..their main SAG and KB are out of action for the time being. Main goal of Guadalcanal scenario correct?

I like this and will start using it, even if it means I am constantly clicking on my carrier groups.

Have over 225 AV and a CD unit. Enough to make the Japanese commit a substantial force to take it, much like Darwin, Kaopang and Palembang. There are no fighters there due to lack of AV support. Need a BF to fill out the PM garrison for SPT and AV SPT.

3rd BG/8th BS set to 100 train, range 0, filled with recruits, sent to San Fran.

More ships gathering at Balboa, ships that are arriving on the Atlantic side are filling with fuel and moving it to the Pacific side. It is getting short there.
TF 300 at LA is forming to move to San Fran to load 49th PG, and 22nd BG to Oz. It is 16 of our smallest capacity transports with long legs (2 per unit for safety). Harvey, let me know which port you want them sent to. They have 3-4 days until they reach San Fran.

70th Cst AA and 46th Const Loading at San Fran for Savaii, joining it will be another TF with the 56th Cst Art for Suva. They will go to Savaii, then on to Suva. That is it for the non static troops in the USA, for now… We have plenty of xAPs ready to go for the upcoming 18 units in the next 30 days that are eligible for out of theatre transport for Navy/Army/Marines on the West Coast.

The loading of the 114th USAAF for PM is going slowly. The size of the Pago Pago port is a factor.

TF316 should be ready to leave Pago Pago for Pearl first, then the west coast next with all the MT(Empty)s from Pago Pago. We need to make sure everything is MT before we let it leave. TF399 and TF410 are almost MT. TF398 is unloading fuel and should be MT soon also. This will clear all unneeded shipping from Pago Pago and give TF 179 visual room to load the BF for PM. Left a PG and an xAKL for local supply movement.

Lexington is still detected at 4/4, Time to move a little more south. Moved them five hexes south.

Fuel and Supply ships loading for distribution into combined Cargo TF for ANZAC within the week.

Moved VP 23/c from Luganville to Guam to spy on Truk for a bit. This may help us figure out what is going on. It was duplicating search patterns out of Luganville.

Adjusted Seawolf, Snapper, and Gar’s patrol areas for better effect around the Home Islands.

Harvey's SAG met four Jap DDs screening the KB just between Oosthaven and Batvia. Didn't do a whole lot of dmg till later in the encounter. Jap DDs sure threw their weight around.

This portion of CVs was verified as KB later on by size of air attack, and bombing run at the Akagi later in the turn.

The other portion of KB is NW of Horn Isl, unless they move DUE Northwest the last two turns...
