How is Dutch Habor? Expand the airfield as soon as possible. That airfield is an absolute bear to expand. Cold Bay seems to expand okay.
Speaking of airfield expansion. Other airfields I found terribly hard to expand are in the Phoenix Islands; Canton, Holland and Baker. In the Society Islands; are Funafuti, Nukufetau and Viatupu.
It didn't help that I had to retake those islands and setback expansion by several months. That is the only thing holding me back from any further assualts through that area. So through the Bismarck's and New Guinea I go, for the time being. I hit Truk for the first time (biting my knuckles) with a couple of carrier groups. And no air opposition! I sank alot of subs and a sub tender. Again, where are the Japanese? The CBI is the only place where there is any fierce air activity. And an occassional raid on Darwin. It is now 4 September 1943.

I'll post a picture of Dutch tonight.. as I recall, it only has a seaplane tender and a few PAs...the AF is a bitch to expand. You're correct there. Not doing anything to Cold Bay at this time. Kodiak is at 3/3, if not 4/4 already...very close.
I would love to see the Langley make it. I like ships like her for some reason. If she isn't detected, and something catastrophic doesn't happen, I am guessing she'll be ok.

Refueled CVs. Yorktown is still a day away from linking up. Kept them in the same spot, and the SAG group with Harveys.
Concord has more fire, and is now on cruise heading to Dutch, where the AF is expanding again.. currently at 4 percent.
Clark Field now has 925 av.. will be at around 1100 in a couple of days..
Hoping Manila falls first, so that they units retreat to either Clark or Bataan, instead of being trapped at Manila if Clark falls first..
Langley still on Mission to make it out of the Philippines prior to going on Cruise speed.
Singapore was attacked this turn, but held out. Good deal Harvey! This was even after a 100+ bomber raid in the same turn.
Pearl is now a maxed port. Has been going from day one.

Gearing up your carriers for a strike?
Right after speaking with you last night I mean just momments after. I had something show up on my screen I hadn't seen in a long time. Surface combat! The Nachi, Nagara and two destroyers the Tachikaze and Kamikaze smashed into an unscorted amphibious group at Green Island just north of Bougainville. And they were wiped out, all six. Where did they come from? Rabaul and Truk have been neutralized for somtime now. Then over in the Indian Ocean, Addu is slammed with a major air strike. Not much harm and the small air group there made a pretty good showing; knocking down at least seven of the attackers. KB and little KB have reappeared! There is nothing much to counter them, except for land based air units. Good thing I kept several fighter groups on Ceylon. Time to scatter all convoys in that theatre. My false sense of security is over. The Japanese have not rolled over after all. [Cracking my knuckles], time to get down to business. Hot damn I love this game.[8D]

Carriers are stayin put, but might move NW this turn. A force is moving SW out of Rabaul, and the KB has moved back to the DEI to replenish...or so she appears to. This could be an opportunity to strike that force if he heads for the Milne Bay area...
I didn't move them this turn, but have mentioned to Harvey and Mike we want to consider it this turn...
Harvey and I do have a sizable CA/CL force in the area with a mix of DDs for support. If the force is heavily escorted, hopefully the carriers would soften them up.

Carriers are stayin put, but might move NW this turn. A force is moving SW out of Rabaul, and the KB has moved back to the DEI to replenish...or so she appears to. This could be an opportunity to strike that force if he heads for the Milne Bay area...
I didn't move them this turn, but have mentioned to Harvey and Mike we want to consider it this turn...

Ill have some time tonight to update Aces, Aircraft losses, Victory screen, game screenshots, ship losses and all of that jazz.
Basically they're at Darwin, Horn Isl, Rabaul in SWPAC/SOPAC. Singapore is about to fall, but Harvey is holding out. They have Palembang, Kendari, Ambon, (most of the early December landings) and Koenpeing (spelling (Don't hang me GreyJoy). Port Blair has been bombed heavily for a lot of turns and seems to be their stepping stone to India.
Mike continues to make the best use of his forces/supplies in China. The AVG has forced Japan to commit planes that could be used elsewhere. He has tied up a lot of Jap forces at Ichang from day one, and all they have done is bombard.
Harvey has done an outstanding job with his forces in the DEI, especially his naval forces.
After this turn, we should have 1100+ or so AV at Clark, level 3 forts with 13k supply at Bataan, and 600 or so AV at Manila. Supply has been bombed almost from day one there, and there isn't much left. 2500 or so each place or less. Langely is still heading east for Midway..like to see her make it.
Our subs seem to be well placed and have had a lot of shots from the beginning.

Current location of Japanese TF south of Rabaul. We feel like this is destined for Milne Bay for invasion. Our plan is to intercept this TF with the Enterpise, Saratoga, and Lexington TFs. There are also two SCTFs in the area to pick up cripples after the planes soften them up a little. Here is a screen shot of the Rabaul/Milne Bay area:

No but they're there. Remember the SAG action when we ran into BBs with our CA/CL force in our attempt to bombard the AF at night? They attacked the dmg ships all of the way home, but only with bombs. The last big supply convoys there would surely have dropped an HQ off by now though. Were staying out of ext Zero range....so, bring it on! CVs are offensive weapons anyway..
