Request for a mod, that replaces silhouettes with NATO -symbols

Could someone make a graphic mod, that replaces the silhouettes when zooming out with NATO -symbols?

That way we could use the NATO -symbols and still be able to see the unit's strength, when looking things from a far.

Would it be possible to just replace the silhouette png's (or whatever they are) with NATO -pictures?

I hope that someone understands, what I'm tryin to say. [;)]

So what you are saying is that you want the nice color images on the unit chits when zoomed in max, but NATO graphics at medium and maximum zoom? Should be easy enough for me to mod as all the necessary images are there.

How many people want this? Top, medium or low priority? Number of replies affects the attention I give it.

I'm up for new counters. Kinda hard to read when zoomed out, i dont know if anything can be done about that. I sure would like the strength number at least on the middle zoom on the nato counters.thanks for asking and considering it.

OK, I modded it successfully so that the NATO icon replaces the silhouette on one example (artillery)

For various reasons I could only do it by modding the NATO icons options, so you will still have the silhouettes if you toggle the other unit view option.

So, zoomed Medium or Out and you see NATO icons. Zoomed In you see the silhouette pics.

Actually, what I meant to say was that I would like the NATO –counters to display the strength number (on medium zoom), that is seen on the silhouette counters on medium(?) zoom. But your suggetion was even better, because those silhouettes do look gorgeous up close!

I would be perfectly content with the counters in the right image in the spread out mode with maximum zoom.
Simply NATO Couters with the number in the spread out mode.
For me it has not to be a work of art here.
Only a plain military look instead of the silhouette.
As the topic says: just replace them.

Sorry jomi,

some like and love a board game look - and that's OK of course!
Others preferre a military look as authentic as possible.
They love to feel like a general commanding his subordinates and not as a board gamer.

Of course I'm following the other topics, and I'm very excited about the development of those wonderful mods. Now I'm just waiting for a finished mod and 1.01 patch, so I can start a new long campaign. [:)]
