1. u getting any new good divisions soon?

2. do u have your tiger bats attached to corps or ss divs?

3. do u have 10 airplanes units on each airfield ? - if not disband and make 10 units per airfield

1. Nah, I am getting some Volkssturm soon though [:D]

2. Divs, some SS, and a few normal divs to strengthen them. Same with heavy JagdPanzer batts.

3. No, been thinking about it, also, I really do not need to use my recons anymore at this time, so I can send those away and disband even more airfields.

1. clearly massive counter attacks are now your only chance. Suprise will certainly be on your side

2. If only more players had your tenacity................

1. Well, problem is that attacking will only wear my units down way too fast. If I attack with 9 divs (3 hexes) into one enemy hex, I will usually get an unadjusted CV of 1.5 : 1, and in terms of manpower in the battle, I will likely be at 1 : 1.
Those attacks tends to be costly even if I succeed. However, if I see an oppertunity to cut of parts of his forces, I will take it. It is just that in the open the USSR will push my stacks back 9 times out of 10...

2. Then we would see more drawn out games [:D]
Has nothing to do with tenacity imo, has more to do with giving both players their "fun time". 1941-1943 should be Axis fun time (granted, I stopped my fun time in -41[:D]), and the rest of the war should be USSR fun time.
And then there is the element of "how long can I keep virtual Adolf alive" [:D]

Turn 164

Overall
The USSR attacks in waves, and this turn they have some success, so we try to push them back in three locations. Not a good idea on my behalf that...
The 17 USSR attacks resulted in 14 helds and 3 retreats, while our 3 attacks resulted in 2 helds and 1 rout. Not good. Not good at all.

Losses
USSR : 118.000 troops, 1.828 guns, 473 AFVs, 805 AC.
Germany : 59.000 troops, 1.241 guns, 331 AFVs, 58 AC.

Units disbanded
3 airfields and 2 fortified zones.

German pools
Manpower : 156.540
Vehicle : 356.264
Armaments : 0
Hiwi : 2.184

Of course, they'll likely run out of fausts before the Sovs run out of tanks...

Very good AAR for late war GHC stuff. You really holding out nicely 82 and 7 in the Berlin area!

I think you will hold out until the major rivers are froozen. Hes only taking 2 hexes a turn and they are spread out at that.

I think you can make it until January 45, which would be great considering he was at the door step of Berlin in April and its August.

Great job man.

ALLOT of very very usfull information.

Thank you very much for playing this out.

I should actually be able to more or less block the entire front with trucks now [:D]
Not to mention that I could also place airframes all around Berlin to block the entry points.
The only thing I am short of is arms...
So, if anyone has some to spare, I will gladly trade for . Heck, at this point I would even trade for hehe.

Turn 165 aka the turn where Oloren decided to shoot down Pelton's prediction [;)]

Overall
Forget Normandie, this turn is what REALLY broke The Third Reich...(well tbh it was my poor play in -41, but let us not mention that now [:D])

25 USSR attacks results in....17 helds and a staggering 8 retreats. We launch two counterattacks, causing 2 routs, and seal off 2 USSR Tank Corps, but we do not have the strength to rout them, so it is silly even to try as that would only drain our divisions that much faster.

Losses
USSR : 122.000 troops, 1.757 guns, 816 AFVs, 938 AC.
Germany : 73.000 troops, 1.970 guns, 437 AFVs, 43 AC,

Units disbanded
2 fortified zones, 1 infantry division (still beating me up over this one, ment to MERGE it...).
2 panzer brigades were merged into one of our worn down panzer divisions.

Volkssturm
...4CV....Yup, those are gonna stop those Red Hordes for sure.

German Pools
Manpower : 212.153
Vehicles : 356.521
Armaments : 0

I guess you are aware of it, but you have to make sure not to get Magdeburg encircelt, as it is your last supply location.

Are those stacks in bad places? There seem to be areas where retreating will be tough and units will rout because there is no regular place to stop.

Yes and no. Yup, they might rout, but on the other hand they are well dug in, and serve as a stopping force, delaying the USSR, and MP is high in all my units, so think most will retreat, not rout.

Turn 166

Overall
Well, Virtual Adolf just ordered himself some new Cyanide-capsules as the USSR is now at the gates of Berlin...
18 USSR attacks resulting in 8 helds, 9 retreats and 1 rout is not good, yet we hold parts of the front...Just too bad we do not hold the entire front. The LW paid the heaviest price when we freed our encircled brothers in arms with our one attack. Well atleast I have plenty of PLANES to spare... Will not be long now.

Losses
USSR : 111.000 troops, 1.458 guns, 711 AFVs, 770 AC.
Germany : 64.000 troops, 1.558 guns, 387 AFVs, 102AC.

Units disbanded
1 fortified zone.

German pools
Manpower : 258.941
Vehicle : 359.894
Armaments : 0 seems any call to arms would be precisely that, a call to ARMS...
