Hex Size?

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

Hex Size?

Post by PHague80 »

I am wondering if anyone can tell me the hex size in miles or meters. I've looked in the manual and can't seem to find how big a hex is.

Thank you

It's 10km hexes and each game turn is 2 days.

Sure it can be higher, but then you need to modify things like artillery range, aircraft range and movement allowances. Turn times can be higher or lower too. Although I personally think that going lower than 1 day, might be bad, because then you have to model what happens at night too. Also, not sure if the editor will allow going lower than 1 day.

i was thinking of 20-25 km hexes, with 3-7 day turns. but if there is no production how can one receive replacements for losses or is this automatically done. i was wondering why none of the scenario have only partial countries as in the case white one, and not the full country of Poland.
