AV will not allow search planes to rebase on Ship

AV Tangier will not allow seaplanes from the airfield at LA to rebase to the ship in LA harbor. Early in a new game and for some reason Os2u-3 Kingfishers or Seagulls can't rebase on the ship. HQ's are the same and not restricted and I've tried both mission options for the TF. Any ideas?

Perhaps the Tangier cannot support the number of floatplanes you're trying to place on it or it may already have floatplanes onboard limiting the room available. Some screenshots of both unit screens may help.

Not easy on the present machine configuration I'm using but at some point soon I will if I don't get this solved. The ship holds 24 and the squadron is 18 so thats's not it. I have found online pictures of this ship with Seagull aircraft on it's decks! Thanks for trying.

Did you actually put the Tangier into a TF?

If it's disbanded at the port I don't think the game allows you to transfer planes.

Edit: And make sure it's not loading supplies or aircraft in its cargo hold, that may also affect it.

Double check the HQ of the aircraft's unit. If it is restricted they can't move to a ship.

I don't have the game running at the moment but I think the Tangier can base zero on board but can support 24.  It has to be disbanded in a base hex and the planes assigned to the base.  With no other AV support the base screen would read 0+24.

It can be done.

The ship can handle 24 planes, the air units are located on the airfield at Los Angeles. Both are huge. Port 7, Airfield 10, Air support 123+24, Air support needed 72

It doesn't work whether the ship is in a TF or not.

The AV support for the Tangier is 24, meaning it supports 24 aircraft operating out of a port, but it can't carry any. The amount that can actually be based on it (Aircraft Capacity) is 0.
