OT - Georgia's most notable resident

Post by jeffk3510 »

Dan-

I was just curious how the great state of Georgia feels about its most notable resident?

Of Toddlers and Tiaras fame, Dan. Here's a youtube link to her new TLC show. Note: they've got all sorts of characteristic Georgian pursuits: hollarin', mud wallerin' and the like. Looks really interesting.

I've never heard of Honey Boo Boo, so I better let somebody else reply. Perhaps RevRick, TopOfEverest, or Miller41 can shed some light on the subject?

P.S. This reminds me of the first time Miller mentioned Lady Ga Ga. I had no idea what he was talking about. Living without television is a great blessing.

I'm proud to announce that I haven't-not once-seen 'Jersey Shore'. I found myself in a similar ignorant (thank goodness) situation about Snooki and "The Situation" a couple years back. Thankfully, their popularity now is waning and I can go about ignoring them with aplomb.

Oh, Dan:

I plugged your name: Canoe Rebel (first / last) into Honey Boo Boo's 'nickname generator' on her facebook page. According to Honey Boo Boo, your nickname is Creampuff Runway.

I kind of like it. Creampuff. [:D]

Last week one of the forumites suggested I am anti Bill O'Reilley because I made a comment critical of O'Reilley's book on the Lincoln assassination. I replied that I can't be anti O'Reilley because I've never seen him. Ever. I likewise haven't seen Anderson Cooper, Chris Matthews, or essentially any other personality tied to television.

A couple of my employees were talking about Honey Boo Boo last week... hadn't a clue who it was... Googled it..watched a few minutes of it on Youtube...our world is doomed.

It seems like anything/one can get a reality tv show this day in age.

My wife (no honestly it was her that turned it on) watched one episode of the Honey Boo Boo show last week.  I found it amusing that the producers felt that the entire family had to be subtitled (in english while speaking "english") to be understood.

So Georgia is America's "Bavarian Forest"?
Without any doubt: I am the spawn of evil - and the Bavarian Beer Monster (BBM)!

Could Honey Boo be the love child of Cap Mandrake and Stalker Girl?

No more like America's Australia. It started as a penal colony , and has been famous for it's ability to be....well, let's say "cantakerous". [:D] It not only seceeded from the USA in the civil war , it very nearly seceeded from the CSA! [:D]

I personally belive that Georgia's most famous "resident's" are actually fictious. Scarlett O'Hare from "Gone with the Wind", and Dr. Lenard MC Coy of "Star Trek". [:D]
