OOB.

Hopefully the Corps HQ's will mainly disband over the next 2 weeks and I'll start to sort out the C&C.

Industry moved:

ARM and HI from Nikolaev, ARM from Kirovograd and Yak-6 Fac's from LG.

Smolensk sector:

30 mile Axis advance in the landbridge and Vitebsk is taken.

Mud in the North Soviet Zone as you can see. If I ever hear again that Random Weather always favours the Soviets in 41 I'll refer you to this post. Movement and Fort building will be substantially reduced this week for me.

Gomel:

The heroic stand of 217th Rifle Division (east of Das Reich) continues as they notched up their 3rd victory today preventing any Axis crossing of the Dnepr here.

The Goryn is crossed and Panzers surge east almost encircling Zhitomir. A couple of units are cut off.

Leningrad after my moves. No SU attacks. Further units are railed up behind the Luga Line and the initial phases of C&C re-org are started as the Luga units are assigned to 24th and 28th Armies attached to Northern Front.

Once the C&C is sorted Ill assign leaders as well.

Yuck. Mud in Soviet North on turn 5 is a total waste. Your mud rolls in this game have sucked, they were all mistimed (especially Soviet North,) and now it's all clear weather in the 3 zones until turn 18.

I remember it well Rasmus...I think this was about the time you started giving me a can of 'whupass' [;)]

Smolensk region: The C&C changes can be seen dramatically here as Reserve front takes charge of anything north of Smolensk.

I also counter-attacked 18th Panzer Division that had crossed the Dnepr. 6 x Rifle Div's sent them packing

Kiev Region: I pulled back a bit from Vinnitsa to avoid a large potential easy pocket.

A counter attack by 13th Tank Division NE of Zhitomir against 25th Motorised Div led to catastrohpic losses (200 tanks!)

South: Attacks by 2 x Tank and 1 x Motorised Div forced the Rumanian Panzer Div back. I followed this up with a successful attack by a Cav Div before pulling back again.

Lots of re-org adding forces to armies and attaching them to Southern Front.

OOB:

Along with a lot of C&C I also started to replace a couple leaders starting with the Fronts:

Ivan Konev was assigned to Reserve Front.
Filipp Golikov was assigned ot NW Front.

I moved Industry from Krivoi Rog, Kirovograd, Mariupol and the Vehicles from Leningrad
