Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb -- they're often students, for heaven's sake. - Terry Pratchett

I liked it as well. It might have been because it was historically more accurate than the normal Hollywood movie.ORIGINAL: warspite1

I’ve just watched a couple of programmes with a Scandinavian theme.
The first episode of a new Beeb / Neil Oliver series Vikings. Which is on catch-up TV / BBC iPlayer (Link).

and then Lilyhammer – which is currently on BBC 4 in the UK. BBC iPlayer link here.

Germany's unforgivable crime before the Second World War was her attempt to extricate her economy from the world's trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.

Just finished watching "Hysteria"... the true story of the invention of the "Personal Massage Device" i.e. VIBRATOR LOL
From a feminist perspective, it documents the medical diagnosis of "Hysteria" for women (and a rather interesting "treatment") which actually existed until 1952! I had no idea!
It's funny and a decent love story as well as being informative about gender discrimination at the dawn of the 20th Century.
