If you are that good Mr Danish smartypants, there are four ship questions still o/s - two of which I've practically given the answers away to [:)]

BTW What/who are the Steelers?

Gota give every one a chance. There are other forumites to think off. They might even own all the counters or look at them in the beta so no need make it unfair. [X(]

Steelers are to Payton Manning, what K.1 is to Robert Jenkins [:'(]

No idea what you are talking about Rasmus Klitgaard, but I'm sure you mean it in a complimentary way [;)].

Btw Robert, how much do u know about more modern british naval ships?
My gran father that died not to long ago, which brought this up, toke me to a tour of the HMS Sheffield of Falklands "fame" when it visited Copenhagen. I'd say in 1980 or 1981. I still have a small folder from the ship they handed out. I've tried to figur out exactly the date was that it visited Copenhagen. Internet and danish naval museum have been no help. U got any idea where to search for such info?

Kind regards,

Not very much I'm afraid. We do not have much of a navy left and its very depressing watching the senior service gradually disappear [:(].

My brother was in the Royal Navy in the time period you mention, but he never served on a Type 42. Probably the best way to get the information would be to visit the HMS Sheffield Association website and see if you can ask the question there - they will be bound to confirm the dates for you.

Is'nt that the truth, just to save a few shekels in terms of National Expenditure.

Its a national scandal.

Nope - HMS Campbeltown took part in one of the most audacious raids of the war - but it would be a stretch to say she saved a nation [;)]
