(Red) Army....Be all you can be......or get shot.

Post by Nikademus »

You just cant PLEASE some people!!!!!!

uh, Comrade Commissar Richards? P-P-Pardon me for asking. I dont mean to sound disident or anything but given that as i'm going to be shot for having only sequestered a 'draw' in my last assignement "Objective:Berlin" i have to ask if maybe the expectations of Comrade Zukhov were mayhaps a bit too s-steep?

After all i did manage to take the Seelow heights and all the victory hexes. My losses were ....well, moderate but hey! we're the Red Army! we'll make more right?

right?

sigh.

anyway, i caused twice as many Facist casualties, ok yes i did lose more tanks but they had those aweful 88's and those bloated King Tigers too!

i ended up owning the heights, all the objectives taken and scored 8500 points to 3800 Facist.

and all i get is a DRAW!???

please, i dont want to be shot at dawn.

I'll try harder next time REALLY!!!

Comrade Nikademus,

You will not be shot. You will be sent to Vorkuta for political re-education through Corrective Labour.

You are lucky didn't get shot before the end of the scenario. You lost many of our newest and finest Josef Stalin III tanks and the 44 Tank Regiment will have to be rebuilt. You think just because we outnumber the Facists 10 to 1 we can afford to lose a few thousand men and a few dozen tanks?

Did I assign so much artillery to you so you could squander it on the Seelowe flats and not on Facists positions? Why did you not see them withdrawing back to the heights and attack while they were withdrawing?

Who is going to occupy Berlin if we lose all our troops capturing it?

Take 2 days to rebuild your regiment. I expect to see all 40 STalins ready for action on April 18

Tovarisch General:

People's Commissar Krushchev wishes me to inform you that the judgement of the Party is that you have performed your duty well. Not only did you take the objectives from the Fascists defenders, but you lost enough men to prove that you showed proper determination in your assaults.

As you may recall, The Great Leader had personally signed the warrants for the arrest and execution of your two predecessors; their low casualty counts proved that they traitorously stopped their attacks long before there was any need. You, clearly, are not that sort of weak officer.

Rest assured, that if you continue to carry out your duties in the same spirit, you will continue to have the gratitude and support of the Army, the Party, and the State.

Alas; the gratitude of the State isn't very bulletproof. Next time, do your little dance where the Fascist snipers can't see you...

Wasn`t that "It takes a brave man to be a coward in the Red Army"?

Another: "Commrade General if you take the city by tomorrow we will give you a medal, if you don`t we`ll shoot you"

Or: "Advance cautiously at the speed of at least 100 Kms a day"

Because you lost so much of the property belonging to the Soviet Motherland, you will now be sent to a Penal Battalion!
