Yes there is that, 140k troops and 3000+ AFVs! OTOH we know where most of his forces are. I think it is a valid "what-if" to explore... looking forward to trying to stop it!

Andrew now makes a tactical, if not operational error. Instead of following up towards toungoo to smash our infantry he headssw towards Prome, with a bit of luck our divs will get away to fight another day...

Our bombers do a bit of damage to the stack heading to prome to try to slow them down, we randomly bomb with about 100 Helen... mostly a Moral thing as the effect is limited!

19 Oct -1 Nov

Despite good intentions due to work I've been unable to keep up the AAR so a catch up to wher we are.

Most of the action is in Burma where we have conducted a withdrawel back to a line above Moulmein. We have managed to do this almost unhurt, our rear guard was savaged only once.

In the air we have lost fighters at a rate of 2:1 against with more hit on the groun on occasions. Our plane pools are very low on Frank George and even Tojo IIc. Most of this fighting has been over our airbases though so we haven't done as badly pilot wise.

Only once or twice have we gotten into the bomber stream though :(

In the north we are just about out of Burma back into China (see map), although our forces in the centre may get hard pressed soon...

In China we managed to savage a few corps with our Armd Divs, but overall the Chinese strength is slowly growing :(

In the SWPAC we have swept his fighters over Horn Island, however he has done some sneeky port attacks, blowing through our fighters and hiting support ships at Tulagi and even Rabaul :( Anoying.

Here is the latest turn:

1 Nov 1943 Fair air battles, USA 32nd Div Destroyed :)

Great to see another update.

So he hasn't pushed at all in So Pac or Cent Pac? That's a fairly late start.

I don't know if Da Babes has stacking limits In Burma but clearly evolving stacking limits would make sense, with more and more lenient stacking limits with time, but then a lot more stringent again during the Monsoon...

Wow, the 32nd Division is pretty much completely destroyed. It probably only has a couple of guns left.

Looks like the CAP is too strong to get to the PTs, but if you see a window, I've found that fighters or fighter bombers going in low to strafe and bomb work best against the PTs. Still it's tough to take them out by air.

KB ends up being about 3 hex out of range as a huge number of Allied TF round the curve heading into Rangoon. In hindsight we should have sprinted KB ins and we would have caught them at sea... I talk Tony into continuing with the attack on Rangoon as planned for next turn and move everything into position...

Well KB gets nicely into position, our ground base air sweep before the KB force arrives and does ok... but then our CV force aircraft are largely slaughtered (400 aircraft lost today) while sinking only a couple of LST. Very Very disapointing....

We will have the KB airgroups rebuilt in about seven days.

Moulmein is being mined, we have a recently arrived restricted Night fighter sqn. It is bought out and pilots are shuffled around. In a few days it will head to Burma to try and intercept the Liberators droping mines.

Andrew sweeps Mulmein against no opposition. We have a few damaged aircraft left there. Only another day or two and Moulmein will reach level 6 forts.

We have been evacuating units via an airbridge to various locations over the last week or so. Staring to march out the heavy equipment now.

Andrew sweeps one of our deeper fighter bases, not pretty for us :(
