It is June 1939. After an unceccessful air battle vs the Russians on the 22 of June(where famous japanese ace Fukuda Takeo was promptly shot down by a Russian nobody). Luetenant General Kamatsubara orders his Dividion to approach the Khalkin Ghol River and force it. On the second of July the japanese army sucessfully forced the Khalkin Ghol river and captured the Nearby hights and the Bajan-Tsagan Mountain. They Immediatly started fortifying their positions. In less than a day the mountain was turned into a formidable strongpoint.

Around the 3th of July Zhukov threw the 11th tank brigade into the fray at Bajan-Tsagan not bothering to wait for the acompanying mobile infantry Company. A pretty nasty battle insued.

This turn Russian Bombers Open up on our rear lines and kill many Japanese men. 150mm Howitsers also cause panic and confusion in our ranks. Our divebombers kill many Russian men and trucks but are slaughtered by AAA and Russian fighter planes. They wont return, I think.

If your bombers bombed just a little to the South I would have had no artillery for the entire game. Thankfully they missed by two hexes!!!. Am now frantically trucking my artillery to a new location:) Ah the fortunes of war.

Some movement has been spotted in the north, my troops, some recovering from the central barages move to more suitable positions in readiness to receive the foe. A number of japanese tanks are taken out by too of my heavies. In the south troop concentrations are discovered by a brave sniper. Now all I need to do is bring concentraed arms to bear.

Some arrogant Bikers die, two squads to be exact. One of my Tanks is taken out by your 152mm Arty, and some casualties are caused by my arty.

Not much happens this turn. I attempt to avenge the murder of my bikers but fail in the south. In the north & center I take out 1 tank each.

Not much going on. In the South Some Engeneers and an Mka get shot up. apanese lay smoke and prepare to defend all of the captured VH. Russian OB artillery fires some more shells. I estimate those 152mm Batteries have 3 more fire missions left.

Pushing forward in the north, may have the advantage for this turn but expect him to bring up reinforcements. The center is pretty static and the south is a narrow front in which we are both squeezing more troops

I kill one of your small tanks. Miscalleneous fighting among tanks and infantry occurs. Artillery Bombards some more. Remember this is a 25 turn game:) at this rate youll use up all of your arty for little gain:).

Things are becoming unclear! The south I think may be the crucial part - I am hoping to continue my advances there. The north seems to be dominated by 2 of his tanks I cannot even see.

In the south I have managed to force a breach, now all I need to do is exploit it. In the north I find one of his hidden tanks and destroy it and an AT gun. There is still something up there causing problems for my BA10s. The center is harder. He is well entrenched on 2 hills and I am finding it hard to dislodge him. Hopefully if I can force his flanks I can make him react and weaken his position.
