I would have purchased it through Matrix if it had been available on the 22nd like everywhere else, but saw no reason to wait and got it from Gamersgate instead.

Since 2004 when i first purchased a matrix game I have had 2 major computer problems and gotten 2 new machines. The way the system is now re-downloading a previously purchased game is so easy I can wait a few days to get it through matrix. I also like to support a company that promotes games I enjoy.

Hope its available tomorrow, but i can be patient.

So tgb what do you think of the game? Screenshots! AAR!! Comeon give it a go.......

I'm waiting for Matrix as well. I've used the time to check out the AGEGOD forums to get a sense of the game.

I've also dug out some of my books on the Roman army to refresh my knowledge of how it was organized. Time well spent!

I did the same. Also here I'd have to pay more than £19.99 due to tax..plus I had a discount for GG.

Slitherine site is showing 31/12/2012. I don't think I can wait that long. Would rather buy from Matrix but that seems like a long time to wait [:(]

Iain McNeil posted in the "Press Release" forum that they were working on getting it released this week. Though I've been tempted to pop for the BOA2 game anyway....

BOA2 is a great game, every bit as good as AJE if the period interests you.

Yes, I do like the period and I was following a PBEM game over on the Paradox forum that made it look real interesting.

Looks like they are just now opening the store up for AJE, so I'll be popping for both. shortly.[8D]

The announcement said that we'd be getting it within about a week of the 22nd release and it is now live and available.

Nope, the official download price is $24.99, just as on the AGEOD site (http://www.ageod.com/en/ageod-games/35- ... rsion.html). That's the coordinated price for all releases of Alea Jacta Est.

Rise of Prussia, BoA2, AJE and the civil war game are all superb. If you go through any AAR's written by Nahrwal (sp?) over at paradox with these titles you'll want their games as soon as you can get them downloaded.

That was the pre-order price--$19.99.

I think the extra $5 is still worth it regard this game.

I completely agree... this is a normal full priced game that is a bargain at $25. I won't tell the ageod folks though... [:D]

I didn't mean to sound negative at all and i already bought the game last night from matrix. It's a gem of a game and the $24.99 is a good price,I'd have paid more for it. I hope the good price and the fact its a strategic level ancients game creates some big sales. Looking forward to the point where i take this to pbem.
