First, thanks for sharing this information. I've not digested all of it yet but enough to know that you guys have taken team play to a whole new level. Three things I immediately see:

1) the team has a command structure that it members adhere to and follow.
2) a critical examination of the map that informs attack/defense plans.
3) a solid understanding of ATG game mechanics that result in effective battle formations and production priorities.

Any team playing a game vs a Meanfcker lead team best learn these lessons. I reason this is why you shared this information so as to raise the level of play of your opponents.

Well done!

Hey guys, I have posted a semi revised version of our Operations folder in the game folder which you all have access to.
Look it over and let us know when you are ready to try again. I will check with you in a few days.

Thank you for the endorsement and yes, that is exactly why we decided to make it available.
As you read through, please do not take offense at any of my comments. I was equally harsh in examining my own mistakes in the final AAR(which will appear in final revised AAR). None of my comments were intended to wound, they were merely the product of a cold and impartial examination of the decisions made, mostly by myself and by the Watchtower Supreme Commander.
I hope to make this available to all of the members of our community in a couple of days. I registered meanfcker.com and I am trying to set up a site where we may all post our AAR's.

Hi guys,
Any idea if or when you might like to try again?
This was by far the best game for practicing Operational level warfare that I have yet experienced.
Really looking forward to our rematch.
Paul.

hopefully before sunday.
CarlVon and I have been working on a combat manual to help teach our style of "gun-fu".
We intend to post that as well, it should be a great help to new players, maybe make it easier to get into.

Hey Roy,
I have been working on the combat manual most of the night and a revised edition is on the site.
I still cant get the site to show up here, but CarlVon can see it. I hope I can see it soon too. :-(
I appreciate any help you can give as that will allow me more time for crushing my opponents.
Do you know how to help me set up a ftp server (I have downloaded the zilla one) so that we can make this site available for uploading to the other gamers?
And where the heck is Hatem? Anyone know?

An rough version of our 3 v 3 AAR is now availble at meanfcker.com .
Please excuse the primitive nature of the site, my real skillset is good for destroying armies, not creating web sites.
Enjoy.

We now have a team: JReid, All5n and myself. We desire to move first since your team is considered the more experienced. Vic is interested in following this game so maybe we should post an ongoing report in the AAR forum. He is particularly interested in seeing how cavalry is used and how it performs. Give us the game setup parameters and our Supreme Commander (not decided yet) will create the game. Also send us the emails of your team members. You have my email address if you don't wish to post them here.

Being the first class A-hole that I am, what makes you think that I intend to use cavalry in my next game?
Now that you are expecting them, I may or may not use any........

I can't wait for a rematch. Soon we will have Glory! All of us! I think it's fair they go first. However, just to let you know... Meanfcker will turn that in to a trap. Don't ask me how, I just follow orders.

Hi JReid, welcom to the pit. It is too bad Kraftwerk has declined the opportunity to avenge himself on me, he certainly has motive. Good game Kraftwerk, I hope that we haven't put you off of playing with us again. We tried to help prepare the Watchtower team for our last game, but I guess that we have to be seen to be believed. I suggest that JReid familiarize himself with our Operations folder. That being done, this time everyone knows what to expect. I really hope that the Watchtower team is able to emulate and even improve upon our command and control system. We may be in for a good tough fight. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks, glad to join in the fun [:)]

Please PM me your e-mail addresses and I'll invite you to join the Drop Box folder I crated for the game.

I created a map with the following settings.

I tried about 10 times before I saw a map where a country was not split up into differenet parts. That was my only condition for the map.

Around the 5th try, a map was created that had each country whole, but all of the forest was located along the bottom of the map and the top 80% was plains. And one country was located along the entire bottom edge with this massive forest.

So, I thought that was bogus so I kept generating maps until I saw another unbroken country map.

I'm not very good at screenshots yet, but I posted a couple of them to dropbox along with a readme.txt explaining where each country is on the minimap.

Settings:

XX- Large
6 Nations
No Oceans
Map Loop
No Shroud (but Fog of War on)
Full Nations
Hidden Stats
User Resources
Full Climate
Fog of WN
No PBME protection (I read that you guys didn't use this. I've opened and closed the first turn several times aleady to get screenshots, so I hope it works, It didn't ask me for a password the second time, which concerned me).
Passwords
Mirrorish
Pangeaic contitents

Couple of things:
1) didn't realize we were using a mirror map.
2) on a no ocean map, selecting pangaeaic continents has no affect (I don't think)

re item 1: do we wish to keep this map or redo it without mirror?

If we wish to have standard size screenshots vice the default mini-hex, we should create a map using my zoom mode mod.

UPDATE: Having just run several maps myself, it is no easy thing to get a map all would feel is fair. Either you get nations cut in two or three parts and/or at least one capital is very exposed.

Yeah, I was creating maps without mirror first and couldn't get a map where all countries were one piece.

I remembered that Mean said something about Mirrored. When I added that, there was a much greater chance of countries generating in one piece.

Also, the map is so big and it's one big continent, it's not really obvious, at least to me, that it's mirrorish.

I think it looks pretty good.

I haven't seen the map yet. I normally do not use mirrorish but I will rely on Jreid's judgement. I am sure that he is a man of honor. I only try to make sure that the game is decided by the players more than the map. I sent all of our emails to Webizen.

Cool. It was the best I saw after 10 or so tries. I also want the map to be fair. There are some pros and cons for both sides, I think.

But when you see it, let me know.

If I missed somethign or it is poor, then we can restart.

Ive played my turn and posted to dropbox (folder MeanVsGood I).

Good luck everybody [:)]

Borrowing from other games, I've used the name convention (this seems more involved than it really is):

jwamds001-to-web

j = jeff
w = web
a = allan
m = mean
d = dan
s = shade

So, this means turn1 and it's web's turn.

When web finishes, he would name his save game jwamds001-to-allan.

When shade finishes Turn 1, he would name his save game jwamds002-to-jeff.
