I have just joined in an ongoing 2x2 PBEM. If I open the file returned by our opponents the file opens fine.

If I open the file after my partner has entered some moves it first gives me the message "This save file does not seem to be from an end of turn PBEM game continue?", I say Yes, it then asks for the password, after I enter the password it then crashes to desktop.

I have new m/c, running 64 bit Windows 7 pro.

I have been working on a game vs the AI as well and that seems to be behaving fine. It only CTD's after I try and open the turn my partner has entered orders into.

Can anybody help with this?

The save looks to be corrupt. Try and get a new save.
