KB is covering a giant transport fleet in Ponape and I'm sure Championzhao has dumped lots of troops there.

Jap SCTF is guarding the two little atolls of Kuajalein under CAP of about 200 fighters. At least a few CAs and CLs are spotted there.

Hayate(FRANK) in action already!

IJA's 3rd Gen. fighter, Frank, is already in mass production and the Allies' P38G encountered Frank for the first time.

Luckily in Marshall Championzhao can't deploy massive George ans Frank due to their maintenance rating. Otherwise Allies won't have a chance to gain control of the sky in 1943. I'm using P40 variants right now. P38G production is only 20 per month.

A Jap transport fleet was discovered by Catalina the day before near Nauru Island and expected to arrive tonight.
I sent out a fast SCTF and it did really good job. About 10 large Jap PBs(which can carry 1000 tons of supply each) was sunk during the short engagement.

On top of that, one IJN sub was sunk and AK Nitisan Maru sunk by USS Skipjack near Ponape

After days of recon, I found out that Championzhao has parked many ships in Rabual but the air defense there is light(around 50 fighters according to the recon)

So I picked one clear day and massed all the heavy bombers available to Allies right now, and they made a perfect raid!

Numerous Jap ships were sunk, 19 heavy bombers were shot down(ouch!) along with 7 Georges.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR Jul 04, 43

To better test the capacity of Frank, I organized a major offensive air operation on July 4th, 1943, the Independence Day.

75 P47D2 Thunderbolt, sweep at 42,000 ft, 90+ various model of P38 and 150 F4U-1 Corsairs sweep at 31,000 ft.

The Japs has about 150+ Georges and Franks Capping Ailinglaplap, and the air combat is intensive.

Surprisingly, the P47D2 sweep at 42,000 ft, severely under performed than expected. I have read all kinds of legend in the forum that P47 sweep at 42,000 can beat the crap out of Japs, well, not in my case. I'm using the best pilots available(exp, air and defense all 70+).
And the cause maybe the low altitude of Jap fighters. After a few tests it appears that to counter-attack 42,000 ft sweep, just order your fighters to patrol below 9,000 ft. It will neutralize the advantage gained by Allies that sweep at extremely high altitude.

The Ailinglaplap airfield is paralyzed anyway but the Allies lost is grave. We lost over 50 advanced fighters in this battle. For the next steps of amphibious actions.

Night battle at Mili

Allies Sudden attack on Mili was detected by Japs. Championzhao dispatched two heavy cruiser SCTF to Mili during the night against 3 Allies fleet guarding the beachhead, the moonlight is low(only 26%) and Allies' radar detected Jap fleet every battle, two out the three battles Allies surprised the Japs, and cross "T". However, the result is really disappointing due to the Allies' clumsy gunnery.

Allies lost 4 light cruisers including 3 Omaha class CL and 1 Cleveland class CL(USS Columbia), several destroyers.
Japs lost 1 CL, probably the best CL in the combined fleet, CL Oyodo.

But the Allies successfully defend its beachhead and the over 20,000 Allies troops captured Mili.
