Turn 6 AGS - Slowly making bridgehead bigger. Unable to do HQ buildups which is slowing things down quite a bit. He has not bolted yet so hopefully a pocket will develop.

A large infantry attack where the 7-14 Soviet armor division is was a hold.

AGN - moving forward. He seems to be giving up the easy stuff and has a wall of units closer to the city.

Turn 6 Odessa- This player is certainly playing it different. He has run but only to set up a deeper defensive area. Also he has gone all in at Odessa which leaves me a head scratcher. On the one hand I am glad to see all that Soviet hardware trapped in the rear on the other hand I have to reduce it with more then the Rumanians. I bombed the port in an attempt to not allow Soviet units to rout away.

I count over 200k+ Soviets in this area that will hopefully be bagged. He also left the AP and HI behind.

Glad to see you're a few turns ahead of my PBEM - I can use the pointers!!

Really scratching my head on the Odessa defense.....I can understand manning the fortifications, but 200k????

He has also kept the Soviet air force out of the picture completely.

7 end AGC - Pocket is crushed and 7 Soviet divsions march into captivity. He begins a general retreat. I am rather pleased with the progress here as half the Panzers have been stripped away.

7 end AGS - He is going to have to make a move in the south soon or face a huge pocket. Odessa is an oddity but creates a unique issue which will have to be dealt with.

Turn 8 AGN - He has a big commitment here but its in the wrong place. I am very confident at this juncture Leningrad will fall.

Turn 8 AGS - The river line finally crumbles not due to attacks but because of the potential of a large pocket forming which my opponent has been very good at dodging.
